I see the recognized ribbon, congratulations on that. You deserve it for such amazing writing. Miranda is one tough lady to handle them two shopfiter for stuffing wine down in their bra, lol. I laughed hard until I cried. Miranda deserves to keep her son, she may not be his birth mother, but she's still his mother.

Shes going fight for Waylon, that's for sure. Thank you for such an encouraging review. I appreciate it. Gretchen

Oh-oh. Miranda should probably get all the facts about Mr. Tomlin before calling that meeting. I like her priorities as a parent and because of her influence, Waylon, like she predicted, will probably become a fine father.

Thank you so much. She will hear the teacher out but her gut feeling won't be denied. Gretchen

Another great chapter from The Queen of Masterful Dialogue. I love the relationship Miranda and Waylon have forged. His life would be such a travesty without her. Can't wait for the Come-to-Jesus meeting with Tomlin - AND I can't wait to hear what the bug up is ass toward Waylon is all about. Ugh! We've all known (and despised teachers like that!)
Another perfect chapter, Gretchen. xoxo

Oh, Rachelle, Rachelle, Rachelle. Thank you for this incredibly nice review. I'm having a great time reviving her character. I appreciate this very much. Gretchen

What I'd like to add is that you were so brave to take this off the market and then re-boot. It did wonders for Miranda. She is definitely back to her old wonderful, plucky, delightful self. xoxo

Oh, I feel this is the real her as well. Definitely, less brooding. Thank you.

There's something sexy about men in uniform... specially with aviator glasses. LoL and the wink was the cherry on top.
Another solid chapter with an engaging plot that's easy to follow. The characters are likable, except Mr tomlin
Well done, you did it again.

Thank you so much. The Mitch in my mind is indeed something else. Appreciate this. Gretchen

We hate to think that a teacher, someone who had dedicated his life to teaching others, wouldn't have an attitude toward a child, but it happens for sure. Well, that was my story then, and I'm sticking to it. Thanks for sharing.

I had a few teachers who had it in for me. Lol. Thank you for your understanding review. Gretchen

I enjoyed this chapter, Gretchen. So what is going on with Waylon and that messy folder unlike the rest? (Rhetorical) And wouldn't you know it, it was the folder for Tomlin's class. This is a nice mystery you're setting up here preceding the coming face-to-face. I'm eager for that now.
I think it's good the way Miranda doesn't mince words with Waylon about Dougie and try to make excuses for him. Waylon needs to hear the truth about his irresponsible father. I also liked the playfulness between Miranda and Mitch. Has he been in other stories?

Mitch came into Miranda's life in the previous book. He was investigating the murder of a local man and all signs led to Miranda as the killer. They fell in love. And zmiranda isn't one to make excuses for herself or others. Lol. Thank you for this great review. Gretchen

Thanks for the backstory.

This is really good writing. It's the first part of Miranda Chronicles I've read and it was very easy to pick up what was going on. I can imagine standing in a book shop, flipping open to this page and thinking 'yes, I like this'. Consistent point of view, good dialogue and characters who come across as real, not stereotypes. I just got a bit confused with the first paragraph where you use 'would' a couple of times. To me the word implies something conditional, that might happen, so I had to reread that section and work out that it actually had happened. But that might just be me. Overall I thought it was very readable

Another great chapter. I am sure Miranda is a loving Step Mum. I think Waylon is lucky to have her on his side. Can't wait to see how she burns off the teacher!

I think Miranda is going to try to play nice with the teacher for Waylons sake. But if that doesn't work, he's not gonna know what hit him. Thank you fir this. Gretchen

Hello Gretchen,
another great chapter gal. I honestly can't wait to for the confrontation to come about. There is something about the sweet taste of revenge that I crave like air to a drowning man. That Jackass Tomlin is going to find out that not all parents are going to play nice or put up with a bunch of B S just because someone is a teacher. Well done gal.
Have a blessed evening.

That so-called teacher is NOT a teacher; he is a disgrace to the profession and a bully. Unfortunately Waylon is right. If she speaks to him, he will bully Waylon more. poor kid, that his own father won't even ring him, let alone explain himself. An engaging and engrossing story.

Thank you, Wendy. I had a couple of teachers like this one. One was a writing teacher. A total jackass. Lol. Thank you so much. Gretchen
