No, it's not the enemy, I think that the White Lightning would've known if that awful man was close by. But, who is he? I can only hope that whoever it is will help them both. I would love a horse like White Lightning, but I'd have to learn to ride first!! This was a really good chapter, my friend. Well done. :) Sandra xxx

    Hi Sandra,
Thank you so much for the six lovely stars!! I appreciate, as well, the comments.
I think you probably know who the voice belongs to, and yes, Lightning would have steered Diantha away from harm.
I'd like a horse like that, too, lol. I know how to ride, but I'm afraid all I could handle these days is some old nag that would just walk slowly.
So, how are you doing? I'm praying for you!!
    Hugs,
    Rhonda

What an exciting ending to a very exciting episode which was very frenetic fro the commencement till the end, when Diantha was talking to the filly, as to how they were going to get out of there, when a male voice answers, you've plugged everyone into the next episode, well done Rhonda, blessings Roy
Query (finace) fiancé?

    Hi Roy,
Thank you so much for the lovely review! I had changed the spelling of fiance, but it may not have shown up. One problem is that this site doesn't like that word and often misspells it itself. In this case, though, I'm not sure why the error is still showing up.
Either way, thank you for pointing it out. Thank you for the comments as well,
    Rhonda

Way to go, Rhonda!
It's a unique forest, I believe! Are the trees talking to her? I have no idea what led her to this spot, but White Lightning must ...somehow. Truly, this was a magical and enjoyable read. Even when the tension was building and no one had any idea where we were headed, it seemed it was the right thing. Very well done!

Carol, thank you so very much for the beautiful six stars, my friend! Thank you for your comments on the parts that stood out to you!
This is a very different forest, and certainly not the one she set out in. The reason the horse knows where she's going will soon be evident. Thank you for following the story!!
    Hugs,
    Rhonda

I liked reading this chapter. It flowed well. I liked the true horsemanship going on as well, with the persistence of the filly, White Lightning, and the fact that Diantha releases the cinch.
Little fix:

In the depths of a wood older, it seemed, than time itself, she could forget about her horrid finace, Wilson,
I am sure you mean fiance.

Diantha bowed her head in exhaustion too, but didn't dare fall asleep.
I would put a comma after exhaustion as well, so:
Diantha bowed her head in exhaustion, too, but didn't dare fall asleep.

Hi Crystie, thank you so much for the lovely, early morning review!! Your comments were helpful as well as your grammar catches. It's funny how the tired eye overlooks the smallest of details. That's one of the things I value this site for.
    Hugs,
    Rhonda

Another fine chapter, Rhonda------thank goodness for White Lighting is all I can say--well, that and where are they and who's Mr. Bullhorn? Be sure to tune in after a bit for the answers to these and other burning questions!

You are such a fun reviewer, Mike. I always like you perspective on things. The mysteries will soon be resolved, somewhat anyway, lol.
    Take care, my friend!
