A well penned story based on the Genesis of the Bible. It all started with the desire to know. But the price of sin, Christ has paid to deliver man from the curs of Adamic sin. Thanks so much, dear Roy. Well enjoyed.

A thoughtful poem from Adam's point of view. What a change he and Eve went through, to experience God's presence in the garden and then battling weeds without His comfort. Thankfully God had a plan for redemption, as your last two stanzas explain. Well done! Blessings. Carol

Humans often separate themselves from God. It is not God's wish that happens, but unfortunately it happens. Thank you for sharing this poem with us. We all know to remember this story.

The title brought to mind the two trees I think of in scripture. The first is Eden and the second is Golgotha. The poem brought both to my mind.

Another eloquent recounting of the original curse and how The lord combatted it. The tree only did as God commanded. Man made the fatal mistake, though I wonder if I would not have done as Adam did. Thank God for His Salvation!

The Bible shows us the fall of Adam and Eve, and how it affected all of their children, namely us. But we are restored through the redemption of Christ.
This is a well written poem. Thanks for sharing

And that's how it all began. With the desire for the forbidden fruit, the desire to be independent, the desire to be godlike. And those traits are still rampant today. Ycur poem highlighted man's fall and redemption beautifully.

I'm so glad I still had a six for this. It tells the story so beautifully. Often, I wish the old Catechism was written in a language as simple as this. Kid then might understand. Roy, I don't often use the word BRILLIANT, but here it certainly qualifies. Loved it.

From the sins of others, we walk and find our own. The Lord did not have to find forgiveness, and he most definitely did not have to send His Son to die on the cross for our sins, but his love is greater than all mankind.

Great job with telling the story from Genesis 3 and how the Lord planned the redemption ahead of time even before the fruit tempted Eve. Even in the fur that God provided was the symbol of the Lamb. Beautifully said!
