Animals do have a different sense of time. As you said we use a contrived system of time so we can arrange to meet one another and follow the same schedules and even turn back the clock! But animals sense when there a slight change in the breeze, a different temperature, when certain trees bloom etc. The Native and ancient peoples were closer to nature that way. Thanks for sharing.
Are you out of the hospital now? Sending hugs and prayers for healing!

This is an excellent poem Pam portraying so well the life of a fox. The rhyme, rhythm and content are all spot on. A very worthy six star poem. Best wishes Jen.

I really enjoyed this poem. It flowed and rhymed really well while telling the story of Time. I'm always fascinated by humans and animals. We both were created by God with an internal ability to navigate the Earth. It's always amazing how many of us have lost that ability and have to rely on man-made things to help us out. The animals just keep on rolling.
Take care, Daniel

Your fine work with meter and rhyme really stands out here. Animals have such a keen internal time mechanism. It really is amazing. I had a dog once that knew every night within a minute when it was 5 oclock. Love the artwork you chose as well.

Awesome job. I desire to be half as good as you.

I dare say these foxes have a body clock the same as we do. If I am in the habit of waking in the middle of the night, I cannot seem to change it so easily. I enjoyed your quaint story about the fox and his hunting habits Pam, love Dolly x

Hello Pam.
There are two themes within this poem. One is the understanding of time as you mentioned in your notes. The other is the chronology of how the animals live when we're not watching. That is most of the time.
Very well written with good rhyme and meter.
Robert

As a farmer and raise chickens, your poem got me inside a foxes' mind. I have more problem with Coyotes but I'm sure what ever thought processes these animals have is the same.

As children observe and sit and think about things they see in the world, they often draw unscientific but accurate conclusions. Your well rhymed and metered poem demonstrates your thorough observations.

Humans experience more activities and responsibilities in a day, and require a clock as a gage to let them know when time is running out. Your poem leaves the reader pondering.

This poem is such an enjoyable read - about time through the lens of the animals versus the human perspective - the language is so effective and a great pic to illustrate
