Congratulations on your win, Eugene! An amazing job describing those winds with your verb choices of 'waltz' and 'whirl', 'whispers' and 'weave'. I also enjoyed the phrases, 'wispy white waves wander wide', and 'whistling weeping willows whirl wildly'. Such great imagery in your poem.

Well-deserved win!

Wednesday! Workdays waning, weekend waxing, workers wistfully wheedle, whining, "whereabout waits warm weather, wonderful waterfalls, wild wagers, winsome women?"

Well-deserved win, writer.

Ciao mystery poet, you now have 4 votes.

This was a delightful read.

I like how you constructed the poem keeping the flow smooth from start to finish.

You make it look easy but I gave it a try yesterday and I kept on getting stuck after the first two lines. It is quite a challenging format.

The last two lines are my favorite! Some of those lines are really tongue twisters. I think some of the words use may be too similar-- particularly "wistful" and "whistling". All in all a great use of alliteration!

Wow, you wrote a full poem using words beginning with W, telling a bit of a story also. You picked a good letter, and chose good, descriptive words.
Best wishes in the contest. Blessings. Carol

I love the playful feeling of your poem! The repetition of "W" sounds creates a musical quality. I can almost feel the breeze. The way you use alliteration to create rhythm in your poem is truly delightful. It's a beautiful dance of words. Keep up the amazing work!

Nicely done. Very good use of alliteration to set the scene, and you've chosen perfect adjectives and adverbs for description, i.e., "whimsical," "wispy," "wildly," "windswept." Good luck in the contest. This is a very good entry.
