Not sure time is an animal, but it is certain fickle and slips through our fingers quickly and seems run faster as we get older. I wish you luck with the contest, love Dolly x x x

I really enjoyed how your poem explores time as an animal! I love the description of moving fast and slipping away. Love the line like "shifting like shadows on sun-faded sands." I also love how the ending ties everything together. Keep writing, this was really thought provoking!
