A great post. Loaded with information that was both informative and detailed. the videos were powerful. Each making an impact. The one that really gave me chills was the back and forth between the other planes and Cleveland. Did not realize that happened or that another plane had them in their site. The constant call to Flight 93 that went unanswered was eerie.

You are right, those passengers showed the utmost courage, saving many lives through the sacrifice of their own. They should be remembered along with all the first responders.

I have spent an hour watching all these videos, it was a horrendous time. I also listened to President Bush tell the world he watched the first plane hit the tower on the television as he was waiting to go in the classroom! Goodness me! It wasn't shown until twelve hours later! It was on someone's video camera. You mentioned the people who died preventing flight 93 from causing another vile crash. How brave they were. We most certainly should remember them. The heroes are always the ordinary people who give up their lives so others can live. This is an excellent tribute to all who died and all that put their lives on the line helping people out of the Twin Towers as well as those on flight 93. Well done, my friend. xsx Sandra.

The innocent lives lost in the towers that day remain in our hearts, and the bravery of those first responders, and Lt. Penney and her commanding officer, will forever be remembered.
But so, too, must the passengers of Flight 93 be remembered for the pure and undaunted courage they showed in the face of what must have been overwhelming terror.
Your words hold such a strong message, Dawn - my heart hurt and I could barely read through my tears - I remember as if it was yesterday - all those dear souls who lost their lives. We were up on a mountain in NewZealand after a helicopter ride, and then came down of cloud nine as we listened to it on the car radio, thinking, at first, it was a play.
We must never forget any of what occurred on September 11, 2001. Ever. And we must pray that our leaders do what is necessary to keep it from ever happening again.
I can barely see to type.

Hi Dawn,
(The videos won't play right now because our internet is too slow and on and off :( so I'll just come back later. I've been trying to write and send this review also but failed 3 times. I hope it will send this time. )
This is a very well written piece in remembrance of 9/11 and all the people whose lives were wasted on the tragic events of that day. You captured so well the horrors of that day fourteen years ago.
We must never forget. And we must pray that it will never happen again.
Blessings,
Anabella

Hi. yup, for me the day is remebered by the haunting texts of the man on flight 93...the sheer courage it took to downa plane...alone and with no backup. The Towers, I will not go there, it was horrible and heroic for some...but those people on the plane, they get forgotten and I think they are the shining example of heart.

Awesome essay , Dawn, to remind us about all the heroes from 9/11. I was not aware of the suicide mission our pilots were willing to do but the passengers stepped in instead. I hope and pray no country has to go through this again. Thanks for sharing.

It was such a heroic effort for the passengers of flight 93. You are right, they should be honored. Who knows how many lives they saved that day when they gave their own. What should have been a routine flight was became their day to stand up and be counted.
This is well written and a great reminder that there are those who will stand up when it counts. Thank you for sharing.
