Good rhythm with the rhyming couplets that use strong imagery to bring you into a magical but garden of a child's dream. It turns out to be beautiful and scary.
The artwork is a good choice to show the door that just had to be opened.

I usually avoid commenting on poetry due to my lack of knowledge about it.
I like poems that rhyme, 'perfectly,' without straining or almost rhymes.
But that's just me. It has little to do with how much I enjoyed your poem. It made logical sense, telling a good story along the way. Squeezing in that range of required words makes this effort even more impressive.
Congratulations on your being a contest winner!

fun, whimsical poem that at first seems a real event--but as it progresses are mild clues (like the fir breach "whisking" her up and then gently placing her down) that lead to the final revelation that the poem is actually a dream. Clever.

Reminiscent of "Alice in Wonderland", for some reason I made that connection. I loved the descriptions of nature's beauty. My favorite line was "A lilac tried to make ME drink and grabbed the dipper cup." I guess it was based on a beautiful dream, and it seems like you love a nice garden. Great poem!
