A very avid poem of the sluggish, skinny nature of slugs with a wonder of their purpose in nature. Well written in seven words all cleverly beginning with the same letter!

A little slime, a little gross but this was fun to write. I can remember doing this as a child. Thanks for your review and future poetry will be more adult. Have a wonderful holiday season.

One of the little creatures that I find a little gross with their slimy bodies and the trails they leave wherever they go. Good luck with the contest

LOL - this is really disgusting. Well, I've written some pretty gross things in my day. Great job with the alliteration and you followed the prompt very well. I'll never eat escargot again, haha. Hugs, Lou

Yup I followed the prompt but got a bit too gross for most. It was fun because when we were kids that was a game we played but that was then and now is now. I have never eaten escargot but believe that is a different kind of animal? Anyway so glad you got a laugh over it as that was the main purpose. Thanks for your time reviewing.

This seven-word-or-less poem, A Little Slime, has a clever use of alliteration and a nice turn to the verb on the second line to provide movement. Nice.

I think I should have let this one die. I sometimes get carried away with impulse writing. Thanks for your review.

Poet,
LOL!!! I saw this contest and did not enter...You did a fantastic job with
those few words and the photo is priceless. Could you have had any
more alliteration in this?? lol No...I just realized all seven words are
"s'"
You were very clever with this and it looks like you had fun writing it
as well.

Thanks for your comments Linda. I did have fun with this one even though I think most think it a bit gross.

Hahaha...that it does, Poet, that it does.
Wow, this is an alliteration lover's wet dream, isn't it? Or snotty, slimy dream, depending upon one's point of view.
Good work, and good luck.

Thanks for your comments and review. I hope that it is not too gross for most to accept.

It's not too gross for me. :)
You're very welcome.--Dean

Not a fan of slugs myself but I suppose they are a necessary evil. When I was little, I always used to pretend their slime trails were fairy paths and that if I were dilligent enough I would be able to catch one!

I am really sorry that you do not like the poem. Is it the content or any of the execution? The subject was open so I was within the rules there. I do thank you for your time and review.

Oh no, I didn't mean that I didn't like the poem. Just not a fan of slugs. I thought the poem was very succint in it's description. Well written!

Well this poem certainly impacts! And it's concise too. Great alliteration and image. Very well done.
I'm told that slugs do have a purpose - they clear away rotting vegetation and do away with stressed plants. I'm pleased to say that there are not many of the snotty things in my garden!
I'm sure this will do well in the contest. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your review. I guess they do have their purpose after all. We never had anything left over in our garden for them to eat...lol

In answer to your question, slugs are useful if they hit Trump in the nose.
Man 1, "What is this? It looks like velvet." He smells it. "It smells like velvet." He licks it. "It tastes like velvet. What is it?"
man 2, "I don't know. It's just something that fell out of my nose."
