Dear Mystery Writer, (--wink--)
Now you're talking about my past! Bringing up memories that had been buried for quite some time. And what fun memories they are, too! *smile* Thanks so much and good luck!

I like it, despite it being a collection of quotes, it tells its own story. I'm a child of the 80s myself so I totally get it. It's just flat out fun. Not sure if all the song references would be classed as disco, but close enough for me. Good show.

The little twist at the end made this a very delightful little poem. Personally, I do not miss the disco era at all. Happy new year.

This speaks disco passion.
You think, you were born to live for disco.
You don't want to be left heartening.
Well-done; keep writing; I like.

Comment from Dean Kuch
Excellent, Anonymous Poet.
Personally I never bought into the Disco rage.
While all my friends were wearing bell bottoms, silk shirts unbuttoned to their navels and enough bling to weigh down even Jacob Marley himself, I stayed at home listening to my Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and Eagles LPs on vinyl.
Each of your three couplets pay homage to popular bands of the day such as the BeeGees, Village People and others.

A very well-written poem about the disco era in the eighties. Great use of song titles to tell a great story about the disco era and rock and roll that bring life to the music we love.
