A very well-written 3-5-3 poem. The birds in our garden start at 4AM each morning. They are chirping without end and unfortunately don't have a snooze button so I am half awake from 4 - 7 when I usually start my day.

So that's what a Magpie looks like--stunning bird. Watching the birds is such fun and this humorous poem describes the situation of waking up to their call. Good job. Marilyn

Very nice entry and a clever satori line. I have one suggestion, and that is you don't really need to capitalize "Outside" as I see it as an extension of the first line. Hope this helps, but in the end it's your poem.

I've never seen a Magpie in person. I suppose they are simply a species of bird we don't have here in my part of the US. Perhaps there aren't any in the US at all.
Lord knows we have just about every other species you could possibly imagine.
Except parrots, Toucans, Cockatoo, and a few found in warmer climates.
So, having said all of that, thanks for showing me, finally, what a Magpie looks like.
Your syllable count is fine, and I've already addressed the presentation.
Good luck.
