I never saw this show . . . now I want to! Sounds like a fun moralistic tale with plenty of action. I love westerns. Good luck in the voting! You told the tale well.

I loved alias Smith and Jones! I never missed an episode, and was completely in love with Pete Duel. Sadly, that actor committed suicide and the series didn't last long after that. I really like your poem, it brought back memories. :)

Your paying great tribute to Alias Smith and Jones and taletelling about two Kansas cousins, their royal jobs, services, performances, sacrifices and adventures are remarkable; well said, well done. Write-Inspire-Change --DR ALCREATOR

Alias Smith and Jones was one of my favorite television shows. Not that it means anything, but they didn't refer to them as Kansas Cousins until after Pete Duel died and Roger Davis took his place. Good luck in the contest, but no disrespect but I hope you take second place.

No disrespect taken. I do realize that. though I will always think of Pete Duel as Hannibal Heyes, I was trying to combine the two into one poem. I do thank you for your comments!

At least they got to live out the rest of their lives somewhat free. It is very hard sometimes to atone for the things you have done in your past. Although you try hard sometimes there does not seem to be anything you can do to get other people to forgive and forget.
That seems to be the lesson here.
