This satisfies the prompt's requirements wonderfully, and is so uplifting! It actually motivates... "Age is just a number" is so perfectly represented in this tiny jewel. Good luck in the contest.

Oh I do hope so - we've got 60 years history - but I pray we can keep on making memories - having fun in these declining years. Right now I must do the dishes and I give thanks that I can do this.
May you have dreams to fulfill - always.
nice poem

Amazing that so much feeling can be inserted into such few syllables and with the required rhymes! Your selected illustration is a great companion to your story.
Best wishes in the contest voting.

All eight of your syllables are effectively used in this lovely, romantic piece about enduring love and dreams that aren't ending just because of the passing of time.

Beautiful one-six-one. The picture is sure an eye-catcher. I got to spend sixty-three years with my one and only love. The picture reminds me of our trips to Disneyland when our children were small. My wife and I used to sit on a bench under a big shade tree and watch people. Naturally, like the picture, I always had my arms around her. Very nice work.

I especially like the last word of this poem. A very nice sentiment that you are blessed to experience in your later years. The piece satisfies the contest criteria very well.

I think this is a moving and lovely little verse about having much left in life.
So much said in so few words.

Nice one on the continuing of interest and looking-forward into old age. Not many people achieve that, in my observation. The bucket list shrinks down to nothing. The couple in the pic have better knees than me!

Or maybe someone helped them up after the photo shoot was over. I suspect that was an ad for a retirement home. I've seen the ads - so far from the reality.
