You've expressed your sentiments extremely well and with passion. To me, it doesn't read as poetry, but I love it for the message it sends. Nicely done.

I loved the writing skills and the message in this write . Thought it was in prose though. I still graded it five because I think it can be considered poetic prose technically.

Hi deepwater,

A deeply insightful offering, which speaks of having been inspired by a deep personal loss. That said, it also speaks to the spoon of human experience through life whether it be short or long.

Well done.

Patrick

Compassion is of course a two-way sword.
If one demands submission they will fail.
Make no mind to assumption in the words,
when used to claim compassion or to rail.

This short piece of writing says so much. The content's message is fantastic and I enjoyed reading. I particularly like what you say about the "in-between" part of life. Spot-on. Curious as to what GW at the end meant...

I found this an interesting piece of writing. However, it is not really poetry. I feel it should be in the Prose category. Nevertheless I enjoyed the read. Regards Dorothy

There is food for thought throughout this entire poem.

We [try] to surround ourselves with people with integrity, flexibility and ethics, friends that make you laugh and focus on life, but if you fall will always hold out a hand to help you back up,

The key word is in [...] but we must also have those same qualities as well...

Nicely written, smooth and a good flow with the words. John

What great sentiments and wisdom on display here. You've collected enough food for thought in your tiny poem, to feed people's hunger for happiness and love on this earth, for a long time.
We try to surround ourselves with people with integrity, flexibility and ethics: this is such a wonderful, idealistic notion in that this would be the best to achieve for trust and good relationships. But, most of us find less, and sometimes it's our integrity, flexibility and ethics that they need.

Great thoughts. I hope you get fine reviews.
