What a delight to read one of these again. It sounds like you know yourself very well, and you've had many interesting experiences. I think a series of your musical performances would be fascinating.
I got a charge out of your animal: Moosasox. It sounds very Canadian.
Excellent selection of FanStorians, and who knows someone might organize a "meet" one day.
I quite enjoyed this, and many thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks so much, Gloria! I appreciate your kind review, and the gift of stars. I might write about one of our concerts very soon. Thanks for mentioning it!

This was a fun and clever romp through memories and expectations. I suspect after five minutes with me, you'd be scrambling to find another Fanstorian to replace me with before your post got too cold. How I could relate, though, to the young lady you failed to kiss. I told you my first attempt at a french kiss elicited the response, "You slobbered in my mouth!" And I was a freshman! Now ... Buzz Aldren ... wasn't he the one who drank so heavily in his later years? If so, rather than putting a damper on his credibility as a conspiracy theorist, any experiences he did have on the moon might have triggered later deliriums. All in all, I had a helluva good time reading your post. Thanks!

Hi Jay,
Shortly after the Apollo 11 mission, Buzz Aldrin and his wife of 21 years divorced. He became depressed and started drinking. It got so bad that he checked into a rehab center in August of 1975, just a few weeks before I was married. But he was able to stop drinking in 1978, and he's stayed sober since then. But I'm sure he and his fellow astronauts have seen some mysterious things in space. Take the infamous Apollo 12 recording: "They're just parked up there on the rim of the crater watching us". Imagine!
Here's a video of ten such sightings... interesting!

It took you a while, but you finally took the quiz! I thought it was fun. Your answers are all great. Elmer Fudd and Scrooge McDuck. What choices. I liked your "Tossed in Space" idea. I've read about that teen ae girlfriend before. She must really have stuck in your mind. Thanks for mentioning me among your Top Seven. It would be neat if there could be a FanStory Festival. There are so many that it w ould be a treat to meet. judi

Hi Judi,
Thanks for dropping by, for a great review and sooo many stars!!! It makes me day! Yes, Robyn's quiz was more fun than I expected. A Fanstory Festival would be really neat. We just need to have a new member who is a billionaire... maybe Elon Musk or Bill Gates! They could rent a big hotel for a weekend somewhere ... maybe Boston, Massachusetts... or New York. It would be neat to meet and greet! Some nice breakfasts and luncheons with readings by various volunteers. Wishful dreaming!
Big Hugs,
Kimbob

Hello Kimbob :)
I enjoyed reading your answers to Robyn's questions. You're entertaining, educated and you have such a great sense of humour - I'm honoured you chose me as one of the Fanstorians you'd like to meet, because I'd like to meet you too (big smile!) and the idea of a big old get together is fab. I love all your answers, but number 7 is particularly sweet - I'm sure she remembers you with great fondness and appreciates you being a gentleman!
Best wishes as always, Debra x

Hi Debra,
Her name was Susan. As young as she was, she eventually became a bit bored with me. I can't blame her. There was a boy in her class who was teasing her a lot. And I had heard all about it for a couple of weeks from my best buds, who were also in Grade 7 at the time. They told me everything. One Friday night, I went to the Scout meeting. Then the dance afterwards. So I was late getting there. As soon as I walked into the auditorium, my friends rushed over to me, saying that she had been dancing with Gary a lot. There's more to the story, but suffice to say it was over. Back in my day, kids were more grown up than they are today. I was devastated. For years. I never went out with any other girls until I was 21 years old. But in those seven years, I learned how to play the guitar. My first one was a cheapie... an acoustic Kent. It only cost me $20. My second was electric. Another Kent. Poor quality, but pretty. It was gold in color with lots of chrome, and 4 pick-ups. But my third was special. I'd love to have another one. It was an EKO 12-string, made in Italy. I was playing a lot of Crosby, Stills and Nash, Gordon Lightfoot, Loudon Wainwright III, etc. I was leader of one of the Cub Packs in Grand Bay then. We'd take the kids to the Baptist getaway, Camp Tulakadik, in Norton. And at the campfire, I'd play guitar for a singsong. Here's one of the songs the boys loved... Dead Skunk:

I guess I got off on a tangent there, didn't I?
Thanks so much for your kind review, and the stars! I appreciate it.

Haha, Kimbob... I never heard a song like it before LOL! Not surprised those cubs got a kick out of it!
Our almost 17yr old son has recently started playing guitar - he's teaching himself and he's a natural - it's like he has music running through his veins. He's already an accomplished percussionist and he's writing his own songs too...
Now it's me going off at a tangent ;)
Best wishes as always, Deb x

Now I know why I won't do these types of 'open mic' works, but one can enjoy them just the same. After watching our two major party leaders go at each other, I wouldn't want to run for the lower house here, (the prime minister is elected internally, which is a whole heap of political manoeuvring) well done Kim, blessings, Roy

Hi Roy,
Robyn's quiz was actually a bit of fun for me. I'm looking forward to her next one. I might even go back and do one of her past quizes.
Thanks for stopping by with a handful of bright stars!
Blessings,
Kimbob

I enjoyed your quiz answers. I was amused by your ability to do many things poorly. This is a great way to get to know new people. Thanks for sharing your answers.

Loved your answers, Kimbob! I like your Elmer McDuck, moosasox and "Tossed in Space." And your fascination with space travel comes out in the last answer. And I'm honored to be picked to meet in person! Thank you!
