This is so charming. I had no idea where it was going to lead, and I enjoyed the whimsical nature of it. He or she really wanted a lot! I'm wondering about the ending, but I guess having the single word 'me' turns it into a sort of letter. Regards, Lilly

A good poem. The text is clear without losing poetic value. The ending is cryptic~Smiling me. Did you get most of your wishes? I'm fine with the mystery. I like the font centered on the visual. However, I feel the font needs to be enlarged to be more easily read and to be more prominent. It would also be good a darker green like the lines in the flower/signature. The visual is just okay. It does fit the gardener/flower lines. What are Wedgetables?

Ha ha ha.
Thank you.
And...I agree with your suggestions.
Wedgetables are, naturally, what vegetables
should be called. After all, are we not wordsmiths?

Funny! You are welcome.
Comment from Frank Malley
The poem,"Everything," by Victor Touche, has two main secrets that provide it with exceptional poignance: its topic, and its form as a list of all that the narrator wants ( and would require a dozen lifetimes to fulfill). The list includes the arts, entertainments, material things to delight, and ends with the central wish of human existence: love. This poem's exceptionality is conceptual rather than arising from meters, rhymes, allusions and the other wonderful components of writing. It is a simple but brilliant idea astutely realized in a highly readable form that delivers in a half minute an important celebration of life.

My, my, my, Mr. Malley.
What a delightful review.
First, thank you, or...
perhaps an apology is in order first.
My late reply...I am a bit embarrassed by.
I truly am heartened by ur review and ur obvious
intellect, and experience in these matters of
writing.

No matter the want, the get is always sublime. That is, unless the get is such a disappointment that you give serious consideration of never asking for anything else, ever again. Such disappointments do occur. When they do, they threaten to obliterate the satisfaction and the pleasure of the getting what you desire.

-Very nice artwork and presentation, Doug.
-A very good stream of consciousness poem
that you are so good at.
-I like your theme of wanting everything.
-You have a good list of creative endeavors
interspersed with technology, like Hulu.
-The sunrises and sunsets stand out for me,
as well as the tree house. I'm glad you got one;
maybe I'll stop by and visit you there!
-A very good ending saving the best for last!
-Well done. Have a great day!!

There's a beautifully light touch to this, like the notes of someone's thoughts and considerations. I like the slightly aimless feel to the bulk of it, but then how it focuses to a singular at the end, and the culmination of what all the rest means.

I would say in the end you got your everything, Victor. I
enjoyed reading your interesting poem. I like the short lines
which allow readers to read at a quick pace. They understand
the many 'things' you wanted, then realize in the end material
things pale against true love.
Thanks for sharing, Jan
