Hi Debi,
You are good at these birthday poem. You get a lot about each person's life in the poem. Wow, he's eighty. You would have never guessed it from his picture. I like the repetition for it shows how well you think of him.

I had not heard of Nolan, or Nomi before, but what a nice poem about him. I assume that 'Service' means military service. To reach eighty years of age and have so many friends and admirers is indeed a great achievement. Nice share!

I did not know Nomi before, but I feel like I do now or at least look forward to getting to know him. You have introduced him with such admiration and pride, that we have no reason to doubt your words. A nice tribute to a man who is as good as any we will ever meet. Thanks for sharing this.

The rhymes and meter are not forced and they flow well.

The repetition of the final line serves the narrator well as she expresses her fondness for another poet like herself. I like the switch to a smaller print in the line about an obsolete world.
