I love this beautifully crafted poem reminding us to put our trust in Him. Even when it seems our prayers may not be answered, God nows what he's doing, and one day we will understand.

Hey sis, I really enjoyed this rhyming poem. Fully understanding life with all of its intricate complexities is beyond our pay grade. You have helped us to acknowledge what we sometimes want to deny. When it comes to other people we are more tolerant, often, then we are with God. When it comes to others we can say: "Live and let live," & "You do you," acknowledging that somethings are none of our business. When it comes to God, we want Him to tell us everything and explain His reasoning behind decisions and events that we don't fully appreciate.
I noticed that you didn't use any periods at the end of your sentences. I'm just wondering, is this stylistic? I am familiar with something called: "Poetic license" L. O. L. Also, did you intentionally omit a ? At the end of this sentence? "Is this part of life's little stings "
Your poem encourages us to "Let God be God and remember that God is good all the time and we can trust him!" Thanks sis.

Hahaha, hi Dan, how long have you been reading me? I'm sorry, and I'm not laughing at you. Just the fact that you just now noticed that I use no punctuation in my poetry. You will never catch me using anything besides commas in the middle sometimes. It is partly the poetic license, but when I first came here, I was mentored by one of the best and they said using any at the end of your line was a big no-no. They helped me to see that when you get the end of a line there is a natural sense to pause. Putting punctuation is more like a stop. And that is distracting to readers. So I changed my style and that is how I write always. Does that make any sense to you? I am so glad you asked me about it. Some might think I forgot. LOL.
Thanks for all of your kind comments about my poem. I appreciate it right now more than ever, my dear brother. Love, Debi
And also for your sweet six stars! You are the best!

You are most welcome. And yes that does shed light on something that I never heard before. Then of course, there are lots of things I've never heard of before lol.
Hang in there sis as you go through this trial of life knowing that your heavenly father would never allow you to go through something that you are not able to bear. He is walking by your side and holding your hand. He is whispering gently: "I've got your back."

I think you read my mind and then wrote this beautiful poem. I know God answers prayers. Unfortunately, for me, LOL, He does it in His time. Sometimes he answers, yes, sometimes, no, sometimes be patient, I'll get to it. HMMM, that's the answer, I struggle with the most. Thank you for sharing my thoughts.

Are you familiar with the Garth Brooks song, "Unanswered Prayers"? I thought of it as I read this. The lyrics go, "I thank God for unanswered prayers" as everything turns out as it should in the end.
I can find your "bright side" - your friends who rally around you when you need them. Especially Sal - she's like a pit bull sent to guard you.
You aren't the only one who will read this and relate; that's why you need to remain on this site.
xoxo

You are absolutely right, dear sis. I wrote this when I first found myself in the hospital because Glen was worried when the anxiety attack had caused my arm and fingers to go numb cause he worried about a heart attack and made me go in, but the second time in the hospital which was for my lupus and kidneys I was in for overnight and while there I wrote this. I felt I couldn't even find God. But that was because I had too much anger by this point.
Do I see I see it now. You darn right and now I am seeing a little more clearly and won't hesitate ever again to let the mama bear that comes out for everyone else come out for myself.
After seeing the love and support from you and others I did decide to stay.
Thanks sis for everything. Love, Debi

I think I can empathise with you in this respect .Sometimes we have these questions-why are bad things happening to good people .Why our prayers are not answered some times? But then where do you look for the answers?within us .as you said some day we will.

I believe our Human impatience will impact the times our Prayers are answered to teach us to have more patience and faith as I believed a blink of God's eye is equal to a thousand years or so. Beautifully written and well thought through verses. Blessings to you and Thank you for Sharing

Once again, a lovely, uplifting poem with essence of faith. This poem is filled with hope of God's promises, despite what is presently seen. Thank you for sharing

I remember the first time a preacher said to me. "Because God's will is done, It isn't always going to be to your liking. It may not make sense to you, but it makes sense to Him." Faith is knowing He is always there. through good and bad times. We may never learn why things happen like they do, but He has it all under control. Gretchen

Thank you for this heartfelt poem. Because of the summer shower we are having at present, I am reminded that God sends the storm and the rainbow, and both are from His hand. Praying for healing for you and that you'll feel His presence deeply. Blessings. Carol
