Great poem for a lovely lady. I don't think I knew she lives in Illinois like me. She may have had more branches lopped off her tree than me. That's sad. But I have her beat in one number's game; I'm 2 and a half years older.

    Hahaha. I have come to the conclusion that all Carols are adorable. I loved what you said about having her topped with number in age.

I have taken the opportunity to wish her a happy birthday on Facebook. She's had a pretty tragic life, the deepest loves of her life are now gone, but she enjoys som solace from her writing, and speaking for myself, it's not a bad place.     I hope your health is better than it was. Right now I am hurting most of the time. Moving and arranging is a pain, but getting pictures up helped

You certainly picked some great songs to accompany your excellent tribute. We have such an eclectic group of writers here that no matter what your preference might be, it will be served. You very likely will be introduced to something new, something that may very well become a new favorite. Your tributes introduce us to writers we may not have been aware of beforehand. You did a marvelous job of capturing the basics of Carol's life. You included details that many of us did not know. That is what makes your birthday poems so spectacular. You do research and conduct interviews with our fellow fanStorians and skillfully present your findings to the rest of the family. I thank you for that.

My favorite genre to read is mystery and suspense, making Carol one of my favorite writers. To Carol: I wish you a very Happy Birthday. If you keep writing, I'll keep reading.
