i disagree 100 percent with the content of this poem. count me as a proud due for Kamala but I give it five star because you captured the mood and feeling of your points in an intelligent and moving read. we can agree to disagree
my only substantive criticism on the content is referring to Harris and Walz as Marxists. Marxism died in 1990 - you can call them radical, or leftist but communist and Marxist? not even close. both sides are calling the other fascists and the rhetoric is getting out of hand on all sides. Kamala's father was a Marxist. That's what she grew up with, and she wants everybody to be equal. Except she wants the advantage of the illegals pouring into our country to vote! And from some things Walz said, he sounded socialist to me, and what he said he learned from the Chinese when he lived and taught there. Well I won't go into it further. I appreciate the 5. But, I didn't make what I said up.

Trump was falsely convicted. He is not a felon or a bad man, but you have your mind made up, so I won't waste my time.
One question and comment, though. How was your life when he was president compared to now with everything so damned expensive, America not defending our ally, Israel, the Kamala saying she's going to close the border when she's had almost 4 years to do it, what a joke.

Well, I'm half American and live in Europe. What you don't understand is that the whole Western world has suffered high prices, due to COVID and how badly it was handled in all countries, and also due to many other political events in the world. You Americans have to understand that you're actually much better off than we are in Europe. America is defending Israel, but do you really want a third world war? We're well on our way, as it is. Again, don't forget I'm half American, but unfortunately I can't vote. Ulla:)

What I don't understand is why the majority of people can't see what's right in front of them. My husband says they're brainwashed. He may be right.

of course, I have so far, 79 viewers who didn't respond. And you're right, they are probably Dems. I did get some flack, but so far only 3. Two said I didn't know what I was talking about, and 1 said that I shouldn't ask God to do anything for us/me, that we/I should be doing for Him.

I wish I could remember who it was that said something along the lines that the only way for evil to triumph was for good men to remain silent. While you're not a man, nonetheless, I know that you love this country and share the same concerns that many of us have regarding the direction we're going, and the apparent ability that the left has to influence such a large audience. One has to wonder what it is that drives their thinking. I know that many people who consider themselves Democrats are compassionate and want to insure that everyone gets a fair shake. On the other hand, I think the party has been hijacked by the socialist/ Marxists, hate filled jackasses who want to destroy this country and the freedoms that we enjoy so that they can rule and reign over us. Notice that the ones in power never want to put themselves under the same rules that they want to impose upon us.
There is no good reason to open our borders and allow millions of people in to this country. We're seeing multiple examples of foreign criminals waltzing in and taking over swaths of America while the current administration gives lip service and denies that there is any problem. Until the folks who have allowed this to happen actually suffer the same crimes as the innocent have, nothing will change. Unfortunately, the elite have insulated themselves from the crime and with the help of the media have been able to fool naive people whose only concern is that Trump doesn't talk nice.
While China and Iran and Russia build their military strength and plot against this country, there are many women in this country whose focus appears to be on abortion. Never mind that inflation is still rampant, that the dock workers union is on strike and all the goods that we depend on aren't coming in to the country, that people can't afford housing or food or energy. They want the right to take the lives of the innocent unborn.
You've pointed out so many issues gal, and I think you did a fine job of it. I wish that those who read this would have the courage to comment, even if they don't agree with you. It's time for American's to take a good look inside themselves and see if they are happy with whom we've become and what we've allowed to happen to our country. A handful of terrible people are trying to control hundreds of millions of us, and it's time to take back our country and become what God intended for us to be- a light to the world. Well done my friend.

I do not understand, either, how anybody can say anything worthwhile or substantive about Kamala. I don't think she has an inkling how to do anything except read off prompters and laugh.
Last time I checked on responses to this article, I had 79 views and only14 reviews. I guess that means 79 Dems.
I've been really pleased with the positive ones. Two of the negative, one guy told me I was totally misinformed and a girl listed all the things she thought I had wrong. Everything I said was from the news on Newsmax and from Newsletters and magazine articles written by people I trust. Another guy said that instead of wanting God to do something for us, we (meaning I) should do things for Him. I told him I prayed to God and thanked him for his blessings but I didn't see anything wrong with asking for His help.
Did you see the debate last night? Walz looks evil and said a lot of mishmash and also lied. I thought Vance was great, but I could have strangled the two women, especially the one on the right, who did fact check Vance - (she wasn't supposed to) and she also interrupted him, and wouldn't let him finish, sometimes.
I really appreciated your comments, Tom! I print the ones I want to remember and your is definitely going to be printed.
You know, I believe that if the votes are collected honestly - if there's no hanky panky, we will win, but that's only if the illegals are not counted, and if they don't make DC a state, and pack the supreme court, and... and ...

no, I didn't watch the debate. I went to the movies and watched a kids movie called Wild Robot. It was actually refreshing.
I'm sick of all the politics and the policies and the terrible things that are going on in this country. We can only hope that the elections will be free and fair, but I'm not holding my breath.
I'm surprised that I haven't read more about the devastation in Asheville NC. When I get back today I hope to find some time to post something. Real people with real problems who need help, need to be brought to the forefront.

Glad you relaxed at a movie. The last one I saw was about Reagan and it was excellent.
I talked to a friend of mine in Augusta and she said this really neat gal who did art work for the Augusta National (golf course where the Masters is played) just in case you weren't sure), was in bed with her dog and a tree fell on her house and killed them both. Very sad, but I'm sure all fatal reports are sad.
I have been trying to reach a friend in Ashville but no luck so far. Such a terrible path of destruction. And what are our mighty leaders doing to help?
Our gov, Abbot is sending supplies.
I tried last night to get local channels, and couldn't. Something is wrong. My daughter is coming down tomorrow on business. Am going to see if she can help me with a few problems.

Reagan was the first movie I'd seen in months. Nothing good on here and I don't want to pay money to Liberal actors. I've been getting movies, DVDs, from the library. some of the movies from John Grisham books - always good. of course they're liberal actors (Julia Roberts, etc) BUT, I don't pay for them.
Youi said something about what drives their thinking, if you'll pardon my cussin,' it's the damn fake media lying about Trump, calling him Hitler, etc and saying Vance is weird. Boy, if anybody's weird. it's Walz.
IF some Lefties happened to watch last night, they could see how forthright and intelligent Vance was and what a strange person Waltz was - turned down mouth crazy eyes, rubber face, yuk!

As I live in the UK I don't have the knowledge to comment on the content of this piece, however I did feel the use of capitals made it more like a political comment than a poem. Where poetry is concerned I find quiet and subtle is most effective. However it was interesting to read and hear your point of view

the contest title is Betrayal and that is the theme of this free style poem. It is designed to inform and to make a plea for common sense and courage to keep socialism out of our country. It is definitely a political piece about the betrayal of Americans in America!

I've had one guy tell me that I am totally misinformed. I suggested that he fact check what I said.

thank you, Judi. So far, many have viewed it and I guess instead of disagreeing, they just don't review it, but the positive ones have been wonderful, truly. One guy, so far, told me I was totally misinformed. I told him to check my answers out. I'm not trying to win the contest (joke. as if) I just want people to read it. I know the fake news doesn't tell the people things they don't want them to know.
I've read many reports about Obama's involvement in this administration since its inception. He has a great deal to do with decisions made is what I've read and heard.
