The Speaker in this poem is obviously a bird lover who lists the many types of birds one will see at Silver Lake on an Autumn day. I especially like the description of the Steelers . jays. Indeed, it would wonderful to observe so many species.

An excellent entry for the Free Verse poem contest. My goodness, I think you have named every possible bird in that area and they sound amazing. The birds are migrating out from around here and I will miss their early morning songs. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for your super review. Yeah, migration time is coming up! The blue jays will stick around, though, and some of the others.

Purple elder berries and service berries, reddish goose berries tempt
