Ok, way to make me cry though the whole thing. How scary for you. I can imagine that had to be horribly rough on Wayne too. Did he ever once blame himself even though it wasn't anyone's fault? Sometimes we do that because we feel so bad that it happened.
What a horrible experience this was for you. You are such a determined woman and you truly put your faith in the Lord. Look how prayer has helped you so many times and I think it is even better in numbers. So pleas take care of yourself and don't let anything else happen to you. We love you and couldn't bare anything happening to you again.
I am like you. as I have been given a few miracles in my life where the oncologist became a believer too because of prayers and miracles.
And I know that has happened to you here, and for your other story and maybe more times in your life where tragedy has hit for you. As soon as I am caught up I will do one. But I do know that God has been good to us even here, look how many poems I wrote for Kylie and people prayed and she is still with you. I know it isn't the same but it certainly is a miracle.
God bless you, my dear friend and I am so glad that is a thing of the past. Thanks for sharing this with us. Much love to you tonight and always. Debi

Thank you so much for the six stars, dear friend!! I didn't mean to make you cry, but I did want to share a story of God's protection and healing. I know you have ones as well, but are very busy with your poems, which mean so much to everyone here.
Yes, your prayers and poems for Kylie are a miracle. But for Him, she would have been taken long ago. You've prayed for Wayne as well. He was at the point of death a week ago, and now he's up and about like nothing was ever wrong.
God bless you, too, Debi!! You are a blessed daughter of our Father.

This is a very intense story. You had life threatening injuries, but you know that. I'm happy for you, and Wayne. Miracles happen every day, but most of them we miss. This one you didn't.

Hi Robert,
Yes, it was intense, though I tried to lighten it up a bit. You're right about the miracles that get overshadowed these days. That's one reason for this forum for telling your tales. There are days we just need to know He's still there.

You are so right.

OK...Ouch!!! I assume even though you say in the headline this is fiction, it reads like a true story. Very real. I can relate, I was hit in the head by a door spring, lifted off my feet and required 20 stitches. I still cannot park the car straight. I was drawn into your true? story. Don Well written dear friend.

Oh, I didn't notice I had it on fiction, thanks for pointing that out, lol. I'm used to writing fiction. I changed it.
Thanks for the six stars, my friend!! I appreciate the stars and the comments.
Oh my gosh, that is awful about you injury as well. I can't park straight, either, but I'm not so sure it has anything to do with the injury, lol. I still get vertigo when I'm on the computer too much, or random other things, lol.
Thanks again,
Rhonda

I praise God for his saving grace. I do believe that he saves some people from tragic events because he has something in mind for you to do. I think about the case of Jonah. God could have chosen someone else, but he wanted Jonah to do it, so despite Jonah trying to run away, he was preserved for the task chosen for him to complete, and he eventually did complete it. You may ask yourself, just as I have, what was so special about Jonah? Who knows, who can say? Only God knows, but the tory lives on in the Bible and teaches a valuable lesson.

Amen, I praise Him for his saving grace as well.
I love your Jonah reference, and the way you tied it into this story. You've given me a lot to think about!!
Thank you for the brilliant stars and for the comments.

I can't believe this, Rhonda. I'm still getting over your last story on survival. This one sounds equally horrendous, probably because it would have been a huge and sudden trauma. I love the humour you still try to retain, at least at the beginning and the fact that you felt you needed to announce that you'd had an accident when the evidence was more than obvious. Once again, I'm so pleased for you that you've made such a good recovery. And thank you for sharing. Take care Debbie xo

Hi Debbie,
Thank you for your kind review!! Yes, three years of trauma, lol. I had to keep a sense of humor throughout, well mostly so, as it's my way of whistling in the dark. Even now, I have to handle it that way or it gets to me.
It is kind of funny that I announced that to Larry. I was completely out of it. I guess I thought I needed to explain why I was lying in the driveway, lol.
Thank you ever so much,
Hugs,
Rhonda

I think it's very much a womanly thing, that we seem to go through life believing we have to explain what we're doing here:)

You know, I think you're right. It is a woman thing!!
Comment from Begin Again
I don't even know where to begin or what to say, except you were blessed to have God in your corner, and he thought (thinks) highly of you to bring you through such a tremendous battle. The only answer is that the Lord has great plans for you, and your journey isn't finished. What a blessing! I already knew you were someone special, Rhonda, and I was thankful we were friends. NOw, triple times those feelings. You are really someone special, not only in my eyes but also in the eyes of the Lord. You definitely are a survivor!
Love you, Carol

This is an amazing story of survival. Is this one about you? Between her accident and her internal problems, she certainly does owe God a few favors. She also has doctors to thank, but with this accident, she probably did something very dangerous by moving her head, but it might also have saved her from being paralyzed when the EMTs moved her. I have survived so many dumb accidents and illnesses, I have no right to be alive.

Hi Carol,
Yes, it's about me. I didn't move my head at all. I placed a fist against my jaw and another at the base of my head to stabilize them. The only movement was when I fell to the ground, but I was unconscious when I fell.
Thanks so much for the review and comments,
Rhonda

I had to pull myself together before I could review this! Oh my goodness! My friend, I had no idea the bull's kick was this bad!! And what a series of miracles! Praise the Lord! We are all miracles in some way but your back-to-back stories are extraordinary! I so admire you, Rhonda, your faith, strength and fortitude. God bless you and Wayne, richly and deeply.
Love across the bridge,

Sally, you are so precious!!! Thank you for your words of encouragement, and the six lovely stars!!! It was back to back to back as the intestinal one lasted two years, but I figured I was done after the last one, lol.
I have a few more survival tales to tell, some branching off the two I posted and another, darker one I wrote, but didn't post. It's why I was late with this one. I'm just not ready yet... I know you have shared some dark ones, yourself. It's not easy opening up.
Yes, Praise the Lord!!!
Love and hugs,
Rhonda

I think we do tend to think we owe God something, but folk that have promised God something, will need. to fulfil it. because God takes promises seriously, He will always fulfil His promises, and we can remind God of His promises, always a good idea. I've added a scripture. Beautifully written, thanks for sharing, I heard that voice before I knew it was God Rhonda. I 'hear' it differently now, he still has work for you, Rhonda, blessings Roy
Numbers 30:1-2. 1 Moses said to the heads of the tribes of Israel: "This is what the LORD commands: 2 When a man makes a vow to the LORD or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said.
Typo : He's in a (tailer) trailer?

Hi Roy, thank you for the supportive review and for the scripture to follow up on it.
I get what you said about hearing the voice at one level, then later hearing it much differently and with greater conviction!!
Yes, on the fulfilling a promise. That's why I write, take care of a child not my own, and went back to teaching. By all accounts, I should have died both times. I'm on His time now!

I loved your story, thanks fo sharing, I knew it was serious. But never quite knew it clearly, praise God for you, and His mercy.
-
Amen.
Yeah, at the time, I couldn't be on the computer for long at a time because I had to be on brain rest. When I could get on, I just made light of it because it was scary. Still, God saw me through.
