Hi Jesse, it's so good to see you in print, and I am wishing you well--wishing you the best. They say that dreams represent our fears and our hope. I think your dreams have been doing both. Of special note:
150 steps, as counted by my caregiver, Denise,
(Congratulations on the 150 steps. They have been hard earned, and they are just the beginning of more steps to come as well as happy times. I am cheering you on.)
I'm glad that your brother is doing better from his surgery. Now sounds like the perfect time to get your walker back--slow and steady wins the race.

I do wish you well and I believe you will walk again. From reading your words, you sound so determined. You have an uplifting tale here that encourages others to not give up. The dreams we have at night, sometimes are manifestations of the goal we want to achieve.

What really stands out to me in your narrative is the beginning of your paragraph: descriptive, taut, and drawing in the reader to proceed.
And how I smiled at the thought of your mother and "three ladies" preventing your entrance to the facilities - not that their presence is positive - but that it's just wonderful detail to share with readers.

Your determination is absolutely inspiring! I could feel the hope in each line. Especially in the way you describe those nightly struggles and your journey toward walking independently. I do pray for you. I have been unable to walk for awhile, and now I'm fighting an infection that will not allow me to sit in my wheelchair for long periods. Trust in The Lord. He will not try us for more than we are able.

Jesse, You will certainly be in my prayers. I know one thing for sure and that with God all things are possible. It happened with me and maybe one day I will write about it. I am up and going strong than ever! I may have to rest some being 68, but that is o.k. with me. He woke me up another day, so He is not through with me. Prayers and blessings my friend.
