Wow That owl jumped out at me. It was supported by the perfect words and perfect syllables for the Renga book. Great job! I did one earlier and I hope to do another soon. I enjoyed reviewing this. Alex xx

Forgive me, Ulla, because I don't get poetry too well, but I do like the thoughts within your post. The unsuspecting change in weather leaves the Wise Owl wondering and complaining about what's happening during the night.

You ot it absolutely right. Thanks a lot for that. I'm no poet myself, but I do enjoy writing the short Japanese forms. Hugs, Ulla xxx

Thank you for sharing this poem about the owl with us. We have an owl who lives on a water tower in our neighborhood. We rarely see him or her, but we do off and on. I enjoyed reading this poem.

Thank you so much, Barbara. I love owls and I often listen to their hoots in our surrounding mountains. Ulla xcx

Your poem captures such a feeling of winter's harshness with just a few words. I love how you use "deceptive winter chill" to set up the unexpected cold and how the "lonely hoots" add to the isolation. Great job!

Aw, thank you so much, Michael. I'm so glad you liked it. I actually like to write the short Japanese forms, but I'm no poet. Lol. Ulla :)))
