Wow what a story, you can picture this scene so easily from you good descriptions.
A sad story that had a lot in it, each different scene changed ones emotions.
This is really good.

Very cute story and well written. I think everyone should teach their children how to dial 911 in the event of an emergency. There have been many kids who have saved lives by that knowledge.

I have been on vacation and just read this reply. I don't know exactly what you meant by "life is not being kind of late" but whatever it is, I surely hope it gets better and gets worked out.

What a sad story, but very well told in the voice of a child. I could feel the child's fear of the storm and also the fear that she was going to be in trouble for opening the door to strangers. These things all made your story very believable. Good luck in the contest, Shirley
