Can see why you won with this, clever, though also true for me...Diamonds can make a woman, or a girls' eyes sparkle when they, especially receive that as a gift, though a pet, is a trusted friend that we carry in our heart, even after they depart....

A very nice poem indeed. So much truth in so few words, is a quite marvel. An old, not very good joke: "A man put his wife and his dog in the trunk of a car and left them for eight hours. When the man opened the trunk, which one was glad to see him?"
