Well. You know what the real problem is, don't you?
He didn't take advantage of www.feedthepig.org.
Thus, we all now have soup. :-)
Thanks for sharing this. JW

Well, for the sake of good taste, I won't go into the particulars of what ham & bean soup make me do...ahem. I'm sure you'll appreciate that, Debbie.
That being said, this is certainly a greedy little piggy, is it not? Of course, I've never been particularly fond of ham hocks, myself. Too greasy and far too much gristle for my tastes. However, there are many folks that enjoy them, so, whaddo I know?
Funny senryu, my friend!

This is so cute, Debbie! You should have saved this it for a contest. I'm sure it would have won. It's very witty, and I love the picture.
Hugs,
Lois

pig needing cash
visits local pawnshop
to hock his ham
My daughter would be devastated. She has a room of stuffed animals predominantly, pink pigs. She left the room behind now that she's graduated and on her own. Maybe I can go to that pawnshop?

I am not very sure about this pig being brought to a pawnshop and get cash out of it. I never heard of a pig being pawned and obtain money. What I think is that a pig can be bought to a butchering place in a market and get the money from the butcher or one who is willing to pay the price. So I am inclined to give four instead of the 5, but on another aspect. I am giving my doubt about what the intention is really.
Maybe the writer can double check if this makes sense. Dom

You are indeed very gifted, Debbie, whatever you do in literature you do cleverly and well, this no exception. Difficult to get any sort expansiveness in this form, but you've done it! Well done. Roy!

Ha Ha! Very amusing poem. The picture is good. This poem shows the creativeness of idea that anything can be written down in a poem.
Good Work. Thanks for sharing and all the best for the contest.

LOL! New meaning for "ham hocks"... very clever. I never think of things like that. My hubby is the family punster. I can appreciate a good pun like yours, but just can't create them. Thanks for the chuckle. :)

Debbie, you have created a hilarious senryu in perfect syllable count, the title is the first line, it does not rhyme and has that Ahhh moment at the end. Well done. :0 GracieAnn
