I wish I had a six for this ...this truly answered the prompt
I taught reading with Art in 9 elementary schools...day 1 I was told loudly by the teacher..THESE KIDS ARE SLOW THEY WONT GET WHAT YOU ARE TEACHING THEM. And they ALL heard her...I taught them onamatapoeia which was 8th grade ...and poetry like If by Rudyard Kipling....She was constantly amazed at what they learned...but like you I never assumed they were too dumb to learn
God bless LOVED YOUR POEM

This is really well written and very inspirational. You should never listen to the nay sayers and always follow your heart and be determined to succeed. Well done and good luck.
Have a great day.
Christelle.

To the unknown author. I am so glad Clarence made it through and achieved his dreams. Your telling of his struggle held a note of pride, I think, and I wonder whether you had a stake in his future. loved it, alf

This poem has some actual good advice for kids, along with the whimsical eating of spinach soup to build Clarence up. I like the before and after pictures, ending with Clarence as a handsome, confident doctor. Good luck to you, Jeanie Mercer

Solid abcb rhymes
Good use of alliteration throughout the poem
Easy flow of words
A good lesson for kids in this verse--
It matters not what others say;
just ignore them from the start.
And live your life from what you find
in the dreams within your heart.
