Kim,
I've never seen this poetic form before, but I liked it. *smile* I also enjoyed your story in a poem about fairies and how they are born. It was a sweet and touching tale that would warm anyone's heart! Thanks!

What a marvelous poem that should help to allay the sadness a loss brings to a loved one. When I was a child my Aunt Ella would often recite a poem from when I was sad or out of sorts. She had a deep Scottish accent and although I often didn't understand the words the musical sound of her voice was quite soothing. As always, your notes are fascinating and informative. I just love William Allingham 's poem, similar to the ones my Aunt would recite to me. Terrific work with this one and a terrific addition to your book.

Hi!
Wasn't William Allingham a fortuitous find? That poem just kind of tied it all together for me after I had written my own. Because I'm in Alaska I could just picture me being the Queen of the gay Northern Lights (as stated in one of his lines) Yes, it was a fanciful moment lol Thank you for this tremendous review and the story about your Aunt Ella. I totally get that.
I appreciate your time in reviewing and your awesome comments.

A very well-written poem. Children can always see what we cannot easily see. A loved one who died appears in a fluttering butterfly who comes to say a final good bye

Wow another different piece and very confusing but I followed the notes and kept up enough to be able to enjoy the piece. I love fairies and also being able to write to a picture. This one is very nicely done with the inference to the butterfly's kiss

Hi Barb,
Thanks for taking the time to read and review. The internal rhymes were my idea, it seemed to make the eleven syllable lines flow a bit more naturally. I'm happy that you enjoyed my fairy piece. I have a feeling I'll be using the other piece of artwork I had chosen before the month ends, so look for yet another fairy poem. I love them, too. I appreciate your feedback.

Fairies, butterflies and unicorns have my attention. Cats I love pieces one and if I have to go horror, it is werewolves all the way

I've been thrilled with all the classic art pieces I've been able to find to pair with my work lately. It has become at least half as rewarding as the writing. :)

Hi Valda,
I'm happy that you enjoyed this one. I hadn't tried this style before, the eleven syllables, as you mentioned, made it a bit more difficult that I might have imagined. I kept gravitating to ten syllable lines. The artwork was an incredible find. Thank you for an excellent review.
