Glad to see another post from you. I was wondering what had happened. You give a good account of your approach to Coeliac disease. Everything is clearly presented. Your conversational tone is present, which is good. I see many gluten-free products at the supermarket where I shop, so it possible to get along. I have recently bought gluten-free cookies, and they taste pretty good. As long as you make the change gradually, you should do fine. I'm trying to get along on a low-salt diet, which is also pretty hard.

Yeah years ago my sister was getting on us all about our salt intake. When you see what the takeaway people do to what we are going to eat with salt it is not surprising. I actually had a test of my salt intake and it came up below average so that was good. Thanks again.

You're welcome. You're lucky about your salt. Yes, a lot of the fast food places really pour on the salt. I try not to eat at them very often, but did have a burger last week--no fries. judi

Yeah well now on Gluten free a whole lot of fast foods are out of the question. I might go into more detail later.

I had a first graders a few years back who hat Coeliac Disease. He couldn't even play with play-do because it had wheat in it and he might put his fingers in his mouth. I will pray.

Thanks Barbara. It has been a bit of a shock to the system especially having been a Type 2 Diabetic all these years as well...and a lot of the Gluten Free Cereals are FULL OF SUGAR! If I did not add that might do it as an edit.

It sounds like you are in for another overhaul in your lifestyle and a big one at that. My doctor suspected I might have Coeliac Disease but fortunately my tests came back negative. We are still trying to figure out what is wrong but at least it isn't that. Take care and good luck with adjusting to your new diet.

This is a very well written story and a six star story to me. You gave me some good information about gluten foods. I wondered why and what about them. I hope things go well for you and your wife with this journey. You used very good words and lovely picture you shared with us! Blessings, Teri

The gut can be responsible for so many ailments and we don't have enough respect for it. What we eat is so important and many are sensitive to the foods we are sold in supermarkets. Fresh is best, best of luck, love Dolly x

As we age, more of our systems break down. This is very well written with an interesting flow of words, making for a very interesting read. There is very good imagery.
