I enjoyed this piece. it's nice to see a more simple piece using rhyming couplets and this works very well here.

this is really quite good, so simple, so eloquent. a solid love story expressed in its simplest form. it is rare that a 6six6 rating is given for short poems, reviewers tend to save them for "epics". but when you write something as well as it can be written, there is nothing else to do. so well done, AnnieDawn.............meeshu

Sometimes it takes time to establish a lasting bond with another person, and when it happens it's difficult to comprehend that it has actually happened. Your poem speaks of the preciousness of being a soulmate, and also perhaps of the niggling sense of uncertainty that it can last - as suggested in the first line.
