Not only have you written a beautiful tribute to spring, you're teaching us about the hill and dale format. It's lovely and lyrical. I enjoyed this.

I like the way you played around with the rhythms of the lines here, and it created some interesting, musical elements in the poem. It reminded me very much of the poetry of John Donne. It's nice to hear stuff like that now and again, very pleasing to the ear, and you had some wonderful pastoral images to go along with it. estory

This poem, Sweet Song of Spring, presented as a Hill and Dale trio of stanzas, fully mines this sparkling image representing the majestic arrival of Spring. This is in contrast to where I am, 'welcoming' Winter.

    We had our first snowfall today, so the topic of my poem--Spring--seems very foreign to me, too. Many thanks for sharing "Sweet Song of Spring." Rod

This poem is delicate and yet speaks out strongly about how people should feel during this season of the year. You have a well deserved win here, Rod. I congratulate you.

Congratulations on winning the Spring poem contest. This is lovely and makes me long for Spring. I liked the sing-song rhythmic pattern of this piece.
It was a joy to read.

Blessings

Bravo and Magnifico!
Cheers, Mystery Contestant;
>Thank you for sharing your authors note and the reference to Ms. Berg's definition of this type of poetry's name being called "Hillandale".
>All of the front page has been political, emotional, sorrowful, and there are those that are spiritually natural in your particular piece of poetry brings the light to me. It separates itself from all the other poetry, or at least the recent poetry I've been reading on the front page.
>It softens my year without the intense rhetoric of emotion or politics or war.
> It's like those headphones from Bose with the can silence everything in the sentences so much joy until you hear the birds and the bees.
> Your poem brings that such delight and on top of it to share such a beautiful looking and presentable poem, as Ms. Berg's definition of hills and valleys.
> Thanks for sharing this very much and good luck in the contest as well you deserve it.

I don't care what a poem layout is called. If it works, it works.
I love the wording. It's uplifting. What's a cantile? You could explain in the notes, so we don't have to run to the dictionary.
A good entry it should fair well.
