Well, we all stood condemned until faith in Jesus covered all those sins. I guess for me, my greatest sin is pride but it's not one that I enjoy. So I'm not sure how this list of seven was compiled by the Church. Thanks for the fun satirical poem.

I think you should be allowed to be proud, in the right dose that covers pride in one's achievements. I am so pleased you identified this as satire and do not think me sin-ridden.

A very well-written poem about the seven deadly sins that we all have a part in one or other way, we often think we are not too bad, but when we seriously thinking about it we know we are all sinners if we want to know it or not.

Yes, you get it... none of us is without sin. We need to find our way back.

I hope the satirical intent does not get disregarded and folks now think I am a died-in-the-wool hedonist!

Dear LisaMay,
I enjoyed your poem, "Delighting In Devilish Deeds"! It is both a fun poem to read and one that stops the reader for a moment to laugh! Your humor is well taken and well written!
My best,
Deborah

I am glad you found it entertaining Debra, and had a chuckle perhaps.

A nice romp through the deadly sins with an unsympathetic, finger-pointing snort for the unrepentant sinners out in the world. One day .......

So Bill, which sin do you favour a little taste of?
Thanks for reviewing.

I have mastered them all, and now stand in a repented state.

Well, you managed to make me laugh out loud again. This is brilliant and so much fun. I thought you might get bogged down slipping around in your lust rant but you came out smelling like a red, red devilish rose. Loved this!! Lynda

A chuckle is always a good sign of empathy... which is your sin of choice, dear generous friend??

But of course! Unless there's one for celebrating vodka and those that created it.
