We are meant to take care of the world, for sure. God gave us this challenge and job to do. But also there's the day of judgment that will be visited on the earth - at some point - by God. That's the date I want to keep in mind - while caring for the earth as well.
My husband is president of the home owner's in our spread out community - right now the homeowners are working to clean up the ladder fuels (dead trees, piles of tree debris) in our common areas - always the danger of forest fire - pray God we do not have any this year.

I was glad you added a note below that this was more of a comment on being wise stewards over the earth. It has been a long project to work on reducing water usage in the yard lately. Interesting choice of illustration; and with your words it is all a good reminder to be responsible and slow down to think about ramifications of what we do.
