I've always thought that as a parent, I was to prepare my child for the future, and then it was their job to grasp it both hands and run with it, and so the baton is relayed. Well done, an excellent 3/5/7 poem, good luck, blessings, Roy

You prefaced this thoughtful poem perfectly - Dreams are a harvest not a gift... The message mat be lost on the little girl in this picture, but as kids grow, repeated messages do sink in. A lesson that's been lost on much of this entitled generation coming up.

The painting is beautiful and your words do it justice here as this little girl learns a new skill and has a long way to go before she has mastered it, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

You have made excellent use of all of your syllables in this thought-provoking, realistic poem. Yes, parents must start teaching their kids about the future when they are young.

This is a great entry for the 357 poetry contest. Your syllable count is correct. The picture you chose reminds me of my daughter. She is a dancer, but much older than this girl. She is fifteen. Your message is inspiring about how what we do today affects our future. Great job and thank you for sharing.

A very well-written 3-5-7 poem about teaching children skills of life today will make them able to own tomorrow when they start earning their skills today. A great piece of artwork to complement your poem.
