Nice job with the prompt. Loved this,
Moss covered tablets of stone
Stand sentry above buried bone.
I can relate to this poem. On my family property that is uninhabited there are several graves, but no markers. I only know about them because my mom showed them to me.

Very interesting peace and the flow was properly paced and very rhythmic. If it were my work I would consider rearranging the last four lines to rhyme "grave and brave" and "spray and decay" . Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

A very well-written heartfelt and sad poem. Many graves older thAn fifty years are mostly abandoned and forgotten because their descendants don't know about them of have knowledge where they are buried.

Best of luck with your "Rhyming Poetry Contest" entry. "Forgotten" certainly set the stage for the content of your work. "Stand sentry above buried bones" give a very good visual to the words. "Infrequently tended" is something I have experienced with my family's burial grounds. Best regards.
