You are very right, Anupam, we do find ourselves involved in situations and predicaments in our lives which make us feel as if we'd just like to crawl into a deep, dark corner somewhere, and disappear. I know that I have felt that way, many times during my lifetime. However, just as the magnificent creature, the butterfly, can not re-enter it's cocoon, we eventually emerge form the dark confines of our predicaments, realizing that we can't go back and change things no matter how badly we might like to. so, we adapt, we change, and every trial we endure metamorphoses us into something stronger, something wiser. We learn from our mistakes. If not, we are doomed...

Yes.what you said is truth.many of us feel that way,but reverse tranformation can be achieved in mere dreams.they escape us from harsh world.thanks for such analytical and interesting review:-)

This piece meets te criteria of the 5-7-5. The syllable count is dead on and the photo compliments the piece well. The words give life to the photo as I wish you the best of luck in the contest.

I'm uncertain where I stand on this, but I can recall a journalist asking a poet what his poem meant. The author wouldn't respond to that, other than to say his/her poem says it. So, I wonder why we feel compelled (?) to explain ourselves with the notes at the bottom. It will be fun for me to experiment with leaving no comments (other than, perhaps a thanks for reading it.)
Anyway: Lovely writing, it got across much with so few words.

Yes.i do agree that a person should be let free to have his own vision of the poem.he may not see,what the poet wants him too.
