Hi Jessica
A beautiful poem written well and has a hint of the unseen but knowing in your words.
Rhyme and meter really nice
And this flowed down the page to a beautiful finishing line
Well done
Cheers Chris

I don't know who you wrote that too, but I hope he understands the extent of your love. That poem says everything about how the intensity of love can deliver the greatest of all rewards. Well written and enjoy your reward.

This is a wonderfully worded poem, and I enjoyed listening to it very much. I wish you the very best with all of your writing. I also wish you a very good month and a good evening. Patricia .

A very touching piece highlighting the beautiful bond between mother and child. Who was helping whom? Love and loss. Leaving just memories and footprints on our hearts.

Beautiful and haunting. This poem is wonderful. I don't give out sixes very often, but you earned it. The images and the emotions are powerful. I'm bookcasing this one!

The flow of this poem is amazing. I could feel the emotion you felt as you wrote when I read this. I hope writing this helped with healing. Thank you for sharing your God given talent with us.

This flows beautifully, Jess, but I wonder why you didn't write it in quatrains maybe to enhance the rhyme? I can tell instantly the subject of this poignant write and, for me, it's every bit as profound and meaningful as " wind beneath my wings." You miss her so deeply and the magical story you record here with such clever use of weather imagery is an impressive read. You also infer a sense of responsibility towards her that might have left you feeling you failed her? Haunting and eloquent! Thank you for sharing. Debbie

"You Took the Wind" Well, I hope it's not the one out of the wrong end.
"you'd chase the dawn
to watch me touch the sun." Nicely expressed metaphoric imagery.
"and when you fell, my light grew dim," Oh, so sad.
Are there two voices/speakers in this poem? Initially, it seems the speaker is teaching/leading/guiding another along. But at the end it seems this other is inspiring the speaker to higher/greater heights.
As always, beautiful reading flow and rhymes. I enjoyed this one.

What a divine post. Your ability to make your poetry flow is a lesson in meter and rhyme control, there's honestly not many that can make it work as consistently as you Jessica, well done, blessings Roy

I pleaded with the dark at night,
the very moon beseeched,
and painted countless portraits of
those stars you never reached.
I love the sentiment and the way this flows!! Great work.
