This is so beautiful, Pam. I love the format and the structure, but most of all I love the way it shows what a person in pain from losing a loved one may feel like.

Like what Nomi is feeling right now is what your poem portrays as it talks about the hope and the life without them but you write it so beautifully like in a sense they will always be there. And that is what we should feel so we never feel completely lost without them.
I love the part where you say as we have known love, we must look for a new domain. Thank you so much for writing this lovely poem. Please accept my virtual six as it is so lovely and this is appreciated so much... it will mean the world to Nomi.

Thanks for the review, Debi. I appreciate your comments about the poem and format, as well as what the poem shows. That means a lot. I probably told you I lost both of my parents within months of each other, but they were not in good health. I think in writing poems for other people who have lost a loved one I channel my feelings.

I really appreciate you sharing what you got out of it, especially the part about the sense that "they will always be there." It took time for me to realize that and I do feel my parents are with me every day. I am glad you appreciated this, and Nomi was very pleased with the poem, too. Thanks for doing the book for him, as well. I think that goes a long way in helping people heal.

this poem is awesome and anyone who has lost a spouse or loved one can relate (including me). we just have to remember that because the physical body is no longer here, does not mean that the love disappeared.

I am sure that Nomi will love the poem and it will move him deeply.

I lost both of my parents when they were in their seventies so I know about the nature of grief and the healing process, as I am sure many others can, too. I am going to add to the book. Right now I'm working on it. It's poetry so that's a bit of a problem for me. I'll find my way around it somehow, lol.
