Maybe it's just me but I find the political people claiming Christianity would send Jesus packing if he knocked on their door or crossed their border. Their idea of love thy neighbor seems very off to me. Beautfiul poem. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent work with the monorhyme in each stanza. You are so right about morality going astray. You mention love your neighbor, but in the U.S. where we have an election coming up in a few weeks, it's more like hating your neighbor. There are rifts in families over political differences. I've read that in some neighborhoods, if you're a Trump supporter the value of your property goes down. Yes, the ancient laws have been dismissed. I think that's why many college students are at such a loss and join whatever protest group that comes along. It's late, so I won't carry on any longer. You've certainly pointed to the heart of society's problems in this. judi

Amen! And Jesus fulfilled the law so perfectly so that all we need to do is believe in Him and be covered by His righteousness. Yet today we have no moral values, especially when I see those who would swallow camels of real crimes of Trump and strain out petty possible crimes of Biden's son. I keep praying for their eyes to be open. I'm so grieved that they would claim that they would choose the economy over moral character in choice of a president.

Interesting and well-crafted with a solid rhyme scheme. The message is clear and one that isn't new. And that the thing. Often some say that things are bad now, morality, virtue, laws and so on, as if there was once a golden age. Where was this? When was this? Hasn't man always been this way?
