This is really a coming of age chapter and I can sense how grown-up and steadier you've become. Evan has obviously influenced you as he is that much older. But you still have a spirit of adventure and excitement. And I'm not surprised that you still need to get some things out of your system. Not sure what: "1 full load per semester... means. Another enjoyable read, Beth. Take care Debbie

Thank you, Debbie. In some ways, I was feeling very grown but in others I was still naive. My kids think I'm younger at heart than they are. Maybe I'm going into my second childhood. lol

This is a really interesting and entertaining account of the end of HIgh School and moving on to College - the excitement is almost tangible and what a wonderful time in life.

Your saga of the old days gets better and better. It sounds like you did not have to take college entrance exams. I did and a few accepted me. I wanted to go to Western Ct State, but my father talked me into Southern CT State. There I went wild but also met some good buddies who still sty in touch with me. That's my story. Looking forward to more of yours very soon.

Thank you, jim. You still had sixes when you reviewed this one. I appreciate you giving me one of them.

I don't know how it takes messages to arrive. Most days, before the days are over, I seem to get four by Raul1 and sometimes more by Shelley Kaye. Sometimes this kind of thing disrupts my use of extra stars.

Beth,
What a great story of graduation and your first day of college. It sounds like Evan might be a little jealous as men normally are. I love learning about your life in Mississippi.
Well done my friend

Very nice chapter. Well written. Error-free as near as I can tell.
Yes, indeed. I hope you kept college talk to a minimum around Evan.
Best wishes.

Thank you, Wayne. I'm glad you like it. It is fun to write about my past. It is the next best thing to time travel.
