What an absolutely brilliant take on the contest subject. It is often what is not said that is most telling and this 5-7-5 proves that point absolutely. I love double meanings and this has that in spades.

Thank you so much, Pantygynt, for taking time to read my little, silly poem. It's hard for even me to imagine that I started writing about the sun and the moon, and ended up on moonshine. It must be my one track mind? Seriously, I don't drink anything stronger than coffee or tea, but I do drink too much. LOL! Always an honor to have you read my humble beginnings. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. :-)

LOL I guess if you like a drink then basting yourself under the brilliant sunshine with 30+ ain't gonna sound half as tantalising as downing that throat balm you've concocted in the back shed haha
Nicely done and congrats on the win.
Cheers P

Congratulations Ric for winning this contest. I could not review with less then a six star! My first experience with moonshine was in '64 when I was 15. Never touched the stuff again. Great artwork and the poem has a great meaning! Well done my friend,,,,,,,Jim

Jim Lorson, my friend, I can't thank you enough for this wonderful six-star review. It's hard for even me to imagine how I started out writing about the sun and the moon, and ended up on moonshine. Guess it's just my one track mind? Seriously, I don't drink anything stronger than coffee or iced tea, but I do drink too much. LOL! Your kind words and this extra special review are greatly appreciated. I appreciate you! :-)

Being a tea-totaller, I don't get this, Ric...ahem...hic! ;-)
You're right about sunshine of course, as it lifts our spirits, and talking of, 'spirits', the two combined are great.
Very clever and funny, and congratulations on your win.
Cheers, Ray.

Congratulations for winning the prompt contest. Its a well-deserved win. This is a good stress reliever after a stressful day. And the picture used is really perfect for the poem. Thanks for sharing and keep writing.

Congrats on winning the prompt and I must say your humor is good. I am about ready to call it a day and to leave on a note of humor is what I need after a stressful day in the dental chair. Patricia

Oh, Patricia, I'm with you, dear. There isn't much worse than going to the dentist. We just have to tell ourselves it has to be done trudge through it. The good Lord will be right there with you. Thank you so much, sweet lady, for taking time to read my little, silly poem. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. :-)
