What a sensational piece of writing and imagination. However, I'm sorry this has become a phobia of yours. They are quite fragile, and perhaps the fear of it popping? I wish you the best in the contest. Best, JohnC

This is a fun poem illustrated with a bright red doggie balloon. The background is colorful and offsets the fanciful text.
The poem is about a singular balloon dog, but the title references multiple animals.

I'm guessing that the person has a phobia of balloon animals. This could be a really good poem, but the changing of font styles sort of hurt the flow, for me. You did describe very well, however, the life of the balloon animal. Best of luck to you in this and all endeavors.

This is an excellent entry in this phobias contest. Yes I think you've caught those amazing sounds a manipulator of those balloons that one must shape as a device for entertainment of generally, children, and the larger counterparts in adults, this is quirkily and beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

I must admit, I have never heard of this phobia before. I guess it is understandable and it could make someone nervous. I liked the formatting of your fonts. They helped express the story. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes to you.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!! Now, this is a brand new phobia to me, but I have to tell you, I totally get it. There is something so extremely unappealing about the sound of the stretching, and the inevitable *POP* that lurks...followed, of course, by crying. This is SUCH a great entry. I really hope you win!

The author's words are intense! I thought about these balloons and I like
what the author wrote above the title "Please don't Pop!". I feel the same
way when a toddler is playing with Balloons, I am tense about it popping! The poem flows and connects well. The artwork is perfect and compliments this poem.

This is so fun and creative. My granddaughter loves balloons and assumes the whole world does too. A balloon shaped like an animal is too hard for her to resist. We've had a few balloon funerals over time.
Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the upcoming contest,
Sally Law :))

What a bizarre phobia the Speaker has. I am assuming it is the sounds that do her in. I like how you made this into a concrete poem that resembles what is going on as the balloon animal is created. Rod

Your contest entry read well, Mystery Author. I
liked the formatting of words and the overall
theme--your phobia. You expressed yourself
well. The image was perfect. For a child the
popping of the balloon animal would cause
issues. I understand your phobia--even for a
adult.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan
