The author's words are filled with deep meaning. The poem is descriptive
and creative. I pondered on these words and thought about how God's
love will always be with you. Glad the rain helped to soothe you. Thank you for the author's notes - I hope you are feeling better today. The music and artwork are perfect! Hi Debi, I am so sorry to hear you were in the hospital. My thoughts and prayers are with you....Hugs, Maria

Debi, this is my favorite, and I think the best of all your poems that I've read. I love your heart and your spirit that are evident here. Actually, I just love the beautiful person God made you to be. You used the theme of the rain wonderfully. A couple of suggestions I would make for this lovely poem: I would always use "in" vane-even if it messed with the rhythm, though I don't think it would. And To feel sustained "through" or "mid" so much pain would work better than "and." I am so very proud of you, and I admire your creative gift.

Hello my beloved friend. Thanks so much for this beautiful review and I love that you think enough of me to comment on a couple places to improve. You absolutely right about the one line, it should have been in vain. (You have it spelled vane?) just checking to make sure? So I did change it, and the word is, meter wise wouldn't work and made too many syllables so I said, "To think of others~not in vain. And thank you for that. The next line you may have read wrong. The word is gain, not pain. Would you mind looking at that too?
And thank you for that as I hate when someone will try to help rather than letting it slide. And Verna, I just love you to pieces! Thanks for the lovely comments and .... Btw- did I mention how six stars are so healing too? Lol
Hugs......(that's not a big enough hug). HUGS!!!!! Much Better!!!!

Dear Here, You are so correct! My eyes have been playing tricks on me! Vain is correct. Also, I read gain wrong, but I still like sustained, and it doesn't change the meter. This is so great, I want it to be perfect. Sorry for my mistake. Love you friend, Verna

You have no idea how much I appreciated your offer to help. And I wasn't thinking about how in vain is so much better as it makes the meaning I was looking for. You are awesome. Thanks again, Sweetie!

I put rain on my phone at night to help me sleep. I have a question for you. Do you journal? If you do, that's great. You already know how it helps you mentally. If not, send me your address and I'll send you a hand painted one that I make. I start every day with my gratitude journal. Just a few moments with God. I pray and meditate but it feels good to physically put it all on paper. Let me know. Prayers for you . Gretchen

Gretchen, I'd like to take advantage of this review to say an extra thanks for the very dear comments and for the prayers.
Yes, I do a gratitude journal. I do one extra thing each night, where I add the one thing that I think was the highlight of my day. That way I am always looking for my bright side. But I still would love to see one of your painted ones. Even a picture of it. My email is debipm@icloud.com and my mailing address is: Debi Marquette

My dear lady,
I'm so glad you got comfort from the rain and from the flood of prayers on your behalf. Your poem is deep, heartfelt, and amazingly well written.
Some of us have suffered and can commiserate, but none like our Savior. I pray His continual blessings on you, my friend, as you deal with your health issues.
God Bless,
We love you,
Rhonda

I'm glad you received a peaceful rain, my friend! I love them too as there's something spiritual about them, especially at night. A beautifully penned rhyming poem of this sacred relief. I'm glad you're home!
Sending you my best today and love and blessings always.

Thanks for sharing the image, notes, and poem, Debi. I agree that a soft rain can be very soothing. I am glad it was helpful to you in the hospital. I think you are the only person I know who can make a hospital stay and treatments poetic. I am glad you have that ability and that it is helpful to you. I will keep the prayers coming and hope that each day is a little better for you. You mean a lot to us on FanStory. Take care and be well.

From a writing standpoint, I like the way you have tied each distraction and blessing to the rain, and I'm glad that it gives you comfort. Rain "washes away" so many things, perhaps it works to wash away your concerns and fears.
You know your friends here are thinking of you, and Helen keeps us well informed. She's an angel to us all.
Praying for your healing, Debi. Stay positive and know we're thinking of you even if you don't hear from each of us often.
xoxo

Debi,
For me, rain and snow are calming mechanisms. I love to sit in solitude with a cup of coffee in hand and watch the snowfall. I could go that for hours (and have). Then take my fog gif a walk in the quiet streets.
Your poem was soothing to read and I pray it helps you today, tomorrow , forever.
Be well, I'll send more rain your way...

I have always thought of rain as a renewal, cleansing, baptism of hope and healing...
This is a beautiful poem my friend...
Close your eyes and rest to the patter of the rain.
Let every drop represent a prayer said on your behalf!

Hey my most special of all the Ks. I'd like to take advantage of this review to say an extra thanks for the very dear comments and for the prayers. I believe that they do work in numbers, so thank you again from the bottom of my my heart, my very dear friend.
PS, I wonder if Tom randomly saw this one if he would think it was good enough for Pom? Lol.. along with change of meds that make me feel like I am in the Twilight Zone, its almost that time of the month where I have to go thru my once a month nightmare, lol
Actually just having some fun with you. My reunion is only one week away and I am so behind after not being home for almost a week.
So here is to do what is the most important and don't sweat the small stuff. Hehe!
-
It's been wonderful to be part of such a caring group here at FS, all of us praying for your health, Debi. No matter what Tom thinks your sincerely penned poem will echo as the poem of the month in my heart for sure! (Although I hear you--recognition would be so nice!)
For now? Continue improving, enjoy your reunion, and make yourself #1 please!
Hugs, Karenina
