I can remember books being banned most of my life including the Diary of a Young Girl (Anne Frank). I am of the belief that if you don't like a book, or feel it will offend you, don't read it.
There is a distinction to be made here: The decision to stop publishing Dr. Seuss's book "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street" was made by Dr. Seuss Enterprises, not by an external panel, or a rabid group of Democrats. As authors, I think we'd all like to believe that we have control over our own books thus retaining the right to take certain titles off the market if we so choose. Apparently some politicians disagree.
Dr. Seuss is quite different from the massive efforts by Republican lawmakers recently to ban books that contain LGBTQ+ themes or address issues related to race and racism.
That said, you will want to look at your line lengths as the form requires four lines with an AABB rhyme pattern and so far it appears to be eight lines. An easy repair I am sure.

Thank you so much, Gloria. Yes, as far as the lines you are absolutely right. We were hoping nobody would notice until Tom was awake. When using full lines they caused the whole poem to go haywire, so I disabled it for a while. When Tom is awake hopefully he can advise me, as even smaller font did not help the situation. Thank you for your wonderful feedback.

When I first joined FS and wrote a poem with the same metre as Dr Seuss, a reviewer was scathing and said "Who do you think you are, Dr Seuss?" They were trying to be rude. However, I always enjoyed Dr Seuss books and read them to my kids. Well done with this Cletihew poem! Sending you good wishes for the contest.

Thanks Wendy, I appreciate your kind review. Unfortunately, because there was no way to fit my poem in the box in the four lines, even with smaller font, I had to start over and change it right after you reviewed. That is why it is now called Dolly

This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that!!
I think you need to change your font. It spans the screen over flowing it. One side of the poem is on the left side and one side is on the right side. You can't get both sides into the screen when the text is very tiny.
If you post it this way all the time I would probably stop reading your poems because having to go back-and-forth on each line is very annoying and distracting. You forget what you just read when you go to the right side after you've been on the left side, I suggest you split up your lines a little bit better, and make it more readable I've already forgotten what I read and now I'm gonna have to go up and reread it again and do I want to do that every time for a poem? No I don't. I'm sure you didn't do it deliberately and I'm sure you'll find a way not to do it in your next poem
But, I do agree with you that this book banning it reminds me of Nazi Germany and maybe we're headed there. Maybe we're headed to a dictator who will punish people for being different being the others
I have no idea how Dr. Seuss could be threatening the minds of our young people. I have no idea how John Steinbeck is poisoning the minds of our young people.
I have no idea why this country is denying the legacy of slavery
I don't understand any of it, so I'm really glad you wrote this phone to bring attention to it

I may not have spelled his name exactly but F you go to find a member which is under the community tab and then it allows U to pick A letter for the first letter of their name it will present you a list of all the people that begin with S and you can find him there.
After you find him click on the area above the portfolio and it'll give you an option to contact him. And send him a message saying that you're having trouble with your text and your font and could he help you he's been a lot of help to me. He likes helping people. He likes helping people

No, I found out what the problem was. Tom told me that my image is too large so I disabled it and will redo it and hopefully that will help.

I think I have it all fixed and I restored it now. Hopefully it is fine now.

It still has the issue when I view it. Sometimes Tom gives quick answers that don't work. I still would suggest getting in touch with Simeon and he'll help you. The other thing you could do is break up each line into two lines that might help you know put it put a carriage return between half of the line and the other half.
The other suggestion I made what you have an incorporated yet is to make your font bigger and I think I explained how to do that to you. I would still suggest that even though it will make the line even longer, and if Sam can't help you, I would break it up Into two lines. You're waiting because other people are gonna have the same issue I had and maybe either review it or you know criticize it.

LOL, but I am no beginner to posting. Darn, I wish I could see what you see but as much as I hate putting one line onto two, I will try it.
