Your poem brought tears to my eyes. I do not know the person in view here, but you've written such a beautiful tribute, filled with hope yet for the future.
I was really touched.

What a poignant story! To think she died just two days after their wedding anniversary. It is comforting that she died peacefully in her sleep. Excellent rhyme. You described beautifully the circumstances of her death. What a comforting line, "You live in my heart." That is so true. Sounds like a wonderful marriage. judi

I especially loved the last stanza.
Great sentiment, Karenina.

Ciao Karenina!
I am not familiar with Nomi but I read your notes.
You wrote a beautiful , heartfelt poem to describe the passing of Nomi's beloved wife.
She went sweetly in her sleep. (It's how I hope to die.)
For Nomi it will be hard without Her , they spent a life time together.

Karenina, this poem is so soft and heartfelt. I know that it will bring comfort to Nomi during his time of grief. Of special note:
I slept by your side
for fifty-one years.
My beautiful bride
had not disappeared.
(How blessed were they. They shared a lifetime together.)
My deepest sympathy to Nomi and his family. Well done.

I've been married over 50 years and realize that in that amount of time, you become one person. I can't begin to imagine the grief Nomi is experiencing. Your beautiful poem is filled with tenderness and heartfelt emotion and expresses what Nomi must be thinking and feeling. I especially like the calming words, "We will meet again."

OMGosh this is gorgeous and it is my favorite style too. I love that you used the info that Nomi gave us as it is so personal and meaningful to him. He will read the sweet verse and know that his dear love may be gone but she is with the Lord. And she is only a whisper away.
I loved your ABAB rhyming stanzas and love how you personalized this so beautifully for Nomi. Thanks for joining the book K. Love it. Virtual 6, but it is worth so much more. Thanks again.

Thank you for beginning this book! I hope Nomi finds comfort among the words we offer, like flowers!

This was a lovely poem. It put into words the life they shared and the grief he will have for a long time. Fifty one years is a very long time and waking up alone will be hard to get used to. Beautifully written. Gretchen
