You never disappoint me with your writing. You speak from the heart, in my mind that is true poetry. Jesus Christ is my savior and your poem reflects my own heart. I don't agree with many things the church says, but I believe in the bible and the word of God.

"The rich man asked Jesus, how many times should I forgive, seven times? Jesus said, "No, 77 times 7." Also, they can destroy my body but my soul belongs to the Lord. Thanks for writing this. We need - more than ever before, to "Go tell it on the Mountain." We are His children and also His soldiers on Earth. Love, Kace XX

There are as many ways of believing among the Fanstory crowd as there are ships upon the sea. We really can't see into their hearts, but they could be as staunch at believing as you and me, they just see it a bit differently from us.

I wonder if you didn't read my poem before I added my last two lines? For the most part I did say that this was my check list but still from the Bible. And yet there are so many that won't recognize that. It is part of what makes me a better mom and grandma to let them know that I am concerned about their eternity.
Thanks Carol for your comments. I think you were agreeing but saying that so many feel different things. As scary as that is yes, I agree. I don't pretend to know all but per the general consensus of the ministry I believe it to be true. Anyway, if you didn't read my last couple lines, please do. They show that we are all sinners and make mistakes.
-
I'm not sure why I didn't see those last two lines. We all do see things differently.
-
No, I added them later but just wasn't sure when you reviewed. But thanks so much as I alway appreciate you.

The absence of Godly fear has been replaced by a sense that since we have not experienced the punishment or trouble that was prophesied in scripture, it may never occur. They are wrong and it could come at any moment. We are reminded that before the flood everyone that perished felt that they had all the time in the world to take steps too avoid the devastation that overtook them all.

LOL, I think that means you are agreeing with me this time. Regardless it is my right as grandma and mom to ask God for this. Also to spread the word so others who feel the same will have a chance to try with their loved ones too. It is not my place to tell others what to do, but in this poem I am speaking for myself. Thanks for your kindness dear brother and your wisdom. Always appreciated and respected. Love, little sis, Debi

This is fantastic and exactly what the Lord has spoken to me. He is coming soon, and either we are for Him or against Him, have holy oil in our lamps or none at all. He will return; and we best be ready. I am and I know you are. Thanks for the encouraging word to our fellow Americans. We have a chance to turn things around and institute more righteous laws and just ways. Biden/ Harris have ruined us. I'm praying for them too because they are lost.
Sending you my very best today as always,
Love,

Dear Debi, I can never feel as strongly as you do in your commitment to Christianity but I respect and admire your sincerity and passion in this beautifully expressed and crafted verse. In the UK we've seen religion at the root of so much conflict and war over the centuries that we tend to be far more circumspect and reserved in our views. A case of believing in God but not necessarily the dogma attached to organised religion which we can see is still causing such horrors around the world, especially when politicians embrace it for their own self-serving ends. But thank you, Debi, for sharing your kindness and conviction here. Love Debbie

Dearest Debbie. I have to tell you that I was just napping, which I do most of the day since getting sick, but I sleep so hard. Anyway, I had a dream that you stopped over and jumped into my bed and was just being so funny.
It sounds like our idea of salvation is a little different? And yet I am familiar with what you are saying. I went thru a period where my church, Finnish Apostolic was so strict that I finally decided since I was going to hell no matter what I did, why bother? I partied a lot and did whatever I wanted.
Since then our Church got smarter, but still I am guarded too.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this lovely review and comments for my poem. As the last post of the year, I am so grateful you. This one was special to me since I won't be posting much next year.
Thank you again, my wonderful friend!

Absolutely six star worthy...
I don't know where Debbie and I fell short with our kids and their beliefs...
To keep this short, our kids made every sacrament, attended church with us as a family every week and attended religious education classes even done as a family unit.
If interest for Debbie and I making our first 2 grands being baptized, they never would have been. Our last three are not baptized. We can't make them baptize them or go to church etc... they have no faith. The two that were baptized have never been to mass. I just don't know...
Crap. I'm sorry for off loading this on you. I apologize.
Your poem is well written and fully understood!
I hope you get to friend more time with your family as written.
I luv ya!!!!

John, this is what I think God had in mind when He woke me up to write this. Would you believe I am sick with covid again? I was trying to sleep and these words would not leave my head so I finally sat up to write it.
I have been so worried about my kids and grands too. We drank when the kids were young and now it is such a way of life for them too. I still have a glass of wine or margarita but only one.
I just don't see the importance of God anymore in their lives. And we always pushed that. So thank you for confiding in me as I think that is what God wanted to happen. Thank you for sharing as we can do no more than try.
I will be praying for yours as well as my own, dear one. You are a very special bro. Thanks for the stars to go for the cause. Love, Debi

Amen Sister!! You are so right with every blessed word. As you write the Godly words, he hears you and He's happy that someone cares to spread his word. This is the year we all need to make America Godly Great Again! 2025! Thank you for sharing.
