Content is absolutely right.
I wrote a piece called the gun. I was tired of getting beaten all the time. I told God to either let me take my life or help me live it. He did not allow the gun to fire.
This piece is one to help all like me to remember

This is a beautiful poem. You communicate your theme very well. The rhyming scheme enhances the piece. The word choice is quite vivid.

There are times in all of our lives when we need a little help and it is a great comfort that He is there to lend a hand when needed. It is surprising, though, how many turn to Him in times of trouble who have turned their back on Him during the good times!
