I somehow knew when it was time to move, the only Achilles heel I experienced was my my first love, she dumped me, which absolutely shattered me, and about seven years later we coupled again and guess what? She did it again, but I'm glad because I met my wife a couple of years later, that was the right one. Beautifully written Song Yvette, you are a clever girl. Blessings, Roy

This is a beautiful song, composed by someone who has experienced the loss of a love and had their heart shattered. Though I don't know what tune would go with these lyrics, I made up some notes in my head so thatI could "hear" the words. I know I'm not the only one who can relate to the emotions that you invoke. It is a well written piece.

Hello!
I enjoyed reading your piece!
First I'll talk about the artwork, because it is stunning. I think I see why you chose this. The two trees almost look like a heart, but they are wilting and looking sad, so if it's a heart, it's a broken one. Also the two birds, at opposite ends of the picture goes along nicely with the theme. The moon shines, as the sun has set on this relationship.
I actually tried singing it out loud. It works as a song, but I would love to know the tune.
Do you write the music to go along with lyrics?

Great job with this song. I couldn't think right away of any tune that would go with this but the sentiment is completely understandable. I know several young men who've experienced this and they still haven't recovered. It doesn't help to tell them that there are other fish in the sea. But your song helps because it affirms the pain is real.

Love, love, love this! What a great song! Perfect description of heartbreak and how it feels like you died sometimes! Would make a great slow rock or country song!
Thanks so much for sharing this! xoxo

Thanx so much for those beautiful stars, Diana -- songs are something I do rarely as they have to have a 'push' behind them... ;) :) And I guess I would have a preference for a rock ballad, but it does seem country, yeah? :) Sorry I've been a bit AWOL lately - gonna spend some time here today... :) Hope all's well in your corner of the universe - take care, my lady! ;) Yvette

You and me both! My twin grandkids are here and their momma actually let me and my daughter see them. Her and my son have had their difficulty and she is in a "you can't see Dad", so sad, just hurts the kids the most. My grandson just clung to me the whole time we been able to see them this week. We haven't see them since last summer and before that, it was about 2 years. Ugh, life sometimes! :) and of course, i like the ROCK-N-ROLL idea the best!! HAHA! xoxoxoxoxoxox

Six stars, going on 12, Yvette. This would make a beautiful, but sad, country song. I believe Alan Jackson would be the best choice to record it.
You should send it to his manager, copyrighted. You song bird, you.

That five actually reads six. I thought I should tell you since I loved your poem about your broken heart. I wonder if there is a female our age that hasn't experienced a broken heart. Great job. Shirley

Selling a house is so much work. All is well here, right now. My computer died 2 days ago and my Grandson rebuilt it for me. Take care and God Bless.

No six stars left! So sorry! I loved this. I used to write songs too, but once my house burned, I never got any instruments to play. Just chording got me going. The music part came naturally. The words were harder for me. Well, take care now! Drew xx

Hope life is treating you good. Here they are rioting and burning and shooting up the country. They are going about things the wrong way.
