This is a very cute flash. Most human couples having such a discussion might say, I just want you to be happy, but I'm not sure in their mind that they might be thinking a lot like Mabel.

Thank you. Strange they put your comments in here twice. Oh, well. Thanks again and hugs again. LOL

I get duplicate a lot too. Fanstory even sends me duplicate messages and people get them from me. Something is mess up but I like it when I get the same review twice because both count.

Yeah, me too.

You had an amusing thought and maybe a little unforgiving soul. I'd haunt mine and make sure he picked a good one. Best wishes for the 50-word flash fiction.

Thank you. My husband is gone and he hasn't haunted me yet. Then again, I have never remarried either. Lol. Higs.

This was a hilarious story in just 50 words! Congratulations on thoroughly entertaining the audience in so few words. Keep up the good work. Best wishes.

Thank you. It is hard to get a story out of fifty words. Hugs.

LOL, Excellent entry for this contest, good luck. I also love the picture of Earl and Mabel. I don't think you could improve this story, with only fifty words you worked wonders! Terry.

Thank you. Just a short story that popped into my mind. Hugs

Lovely story.
Everything's is there: antagonist, protagonist, tension, them, plot line and takeaway message at the end: Be careful what you do, it might come back to bite (haunt you).
Colour, humour there as well.
And in 50 words! Well done story. Well above average.

Brought a smile to my face. Well written and to the point, but with enough room to add more if one wanted to expand it into a short story. Maybe some description or action mixed with the dialogue would further liven things upbeat doing that and keeping it to 50 words would be difficult.

Thank you. One is kind of limited with 50 words. Yes, description and whatnot would add a lot to it. Hugs

Well, I think this is a threat worth considering when thinking about death, yours or your spouses. This is a good take on a short 50 word prompt. I wish you luck in the contest.

He he he, you made me smile here as these two cats have a conversation and I don't think I have upset anyone as I have never seen a ghost, but there is always a first time for everything, a fun write, love Dolly x

Haha! Very fun. Writing a full story with so few words can be really difficult, but you've managed it quite well. And I like how you've done it all with dialog. Great job!

Hmm, I won't lie to you. I have seen short jokes similar to this on the site several times. I am not sure I would consider it a full story. This particular one is more of an old joke. Making a story out of fifty words is not easy.
I think this falls just a bit short.
